The Knowledge of God

For it is God who said, “Out of darkness light will shine,” who has flooded our hearts with the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ . (2 Corinthians 4:6) The light that shone in our hearts was the glorious knowledge of God. We can say the glory of God is the knowledge of God. God wants to be known, "for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea" (Isaiah 11:9). But "To whom will he teach knowledge, and to whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, those taken from the breast?.. therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste" (Isaiah 28:9, 16). "There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and un...

Jesus, Wisdom from God

But you exist of Him in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and these; righteousness and sanctification and redemption . * We exist "in Christ" who has become to us wisdom of God. Through a dispensation of God's grace through Christ God established a New Testament, a will that required the death of His Son, a New Covenant established by the blood of Christ. Christ is Head of the Church where two become one, those under the Mosaic Law and those not, who listen to His voice, and through which the manifold wisdom of God is manifested, " according to the eternal purpose accomplished in Christ Jesus, our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him . *  We exist in Jesus, Wisdom from God. he taught them in their synagogue, consequently they were astonished and said, where did this man get such wisdom and miraculous powers ? * The wisdom of Jesus and the wisdom of the religious leaders often contradicted each other.  For e...

Jesus; The Beginning of Wisdom and Knowledge

in whom exist hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments . * It is a fine sounding argument that wisdom might be attained elsewhere, even the beginning of, but it is in Christ Jesus we put our trust, not leaning on our own understanding but wisdom, and understanding in knowledge of Hi m. He is preeminent in all things, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. He is the Word of God, Word of Life, and Eternal Life that was revealed to us. His words exist Eternal Life. The Law came through Moses but in Jesus Christ came grace and truth. Under the Law fear was the beginning of wisdom and understanding thus the Law had fear of punishment, but it did not perfect men into righteousness because of the weakness of sinful nature. In Christ we have power to overcome such weakness and in Him is all wisdom and knowledge. We proclaim Life and Light to the world, Jesus, the beginning of wisdom and...

Wisdom of God

Yet to them, the one called both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power and wisdom of God . * Jesus is wisdom from God, "now you exist of him in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption." *  The Jews demanded signs, yet when Jesus showed them many signs they asked for more signs. Moses fed millions in the wilderness what is feeding five thousand? The Greeks strive for wisdom, Paul would debate with many of these. *  But since the world did not know God through wisdom God took pleasure through the preaching of the gospel to save those who believe. *  God chose something foolish, but "the foolishness of God exists wiser than men and the weakness of God stronger than that of men." *  It is the nature of grace that we boast in Christ, for in Him is power and wisdom of God. so that your faith doesn't exist in the wisdom of men but in the power of God . * Our faith is according to grace that we boast...

The Glorious Knowledge of God In Christ

For it is the God who said, “Out of darkness light will shine,” who gives light to our hearts with the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ .(2 Corinthians 4:6) The glorious knowledge of God has come and it is in the face of Christ. The old covenant was veiled in glory, but now the full glory of God shines forth, illuminates, enlightens, in Christ. Christ has become wisdom from God.(1 Corinthians 1:30) "In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." ( Colossians 2:3) But to some, the gospel is veiled, "now, even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to the one perishing, in who the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so they can not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."(2 Corinthians 4:3-4) But to those in whom the glory is unveiled, Christ is the light of the glorious knowledge of God. Then a shoot will spring up from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his ro...

To Know Christ

to prepare the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until all attain to the unity of the faith and of knowledge of the Son of God , to mature adulthood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ , * The gifts (apostleship, prophecy, teaching, evangelism, pastoring) are given to prepare the saints, those who are mature, for the work of ministry. Prepare is καταρτισμός ( katartismos ) to get ready, prepare or preparation, training, equipping. This preparation builds up the church, the body, unto maturity so that it is no longer children tossed to and fro in deceitful doctrines. The body grows up into the full measure of the image of Christ, "truth in love growing up in Him." The purpose of ministry is to grow up the body, and this growing up is in knowledge of the Son. For this purpose all other things become as refuse, in order to know Christ. so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, gives you a spirit of ...

The Gospel, In Power

Also this my words and this my message, not in persuasive words of wisdom but in manifestation of Spirit and power, so that your faith exists not in wisdom of men but in power of God. * The power of God rests not in persuasive words of men, but in manifestation of Spirit and power of God. Persuasiveness of the gospel comes not in eloquent words of men but from God. The definition of faith  includes firm persuasion, assurance, and firm proof. Therefore persuasiveness of the gospel is that which increases faith. Paul writes anything not of faith exists sin. *  If we truly believed this then we would focus on what increases faith? and not sin? What is the purpose of the gospel being in the power of God? so that your faith exists not in wisdom of men but in power of God . The gospel is in the power of God so that faith exists in the power of God. When I came to you brothers, I did not come according to prominence of speech neither wisdom, to announce ...

The Gospel of the Grace of God

The Gospel of the Grace of God But I make my life nothing, a message precious than myself which I fulfill, that my task and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24) The Gospel of the Grace of God is a central theme in Christian theology. It is the gospel or good news of the gifts that come from the riches of God's grace in Christ. It is the good news of adoption as his own through the Spirit "to the praise of his glorious grace which he highly favored us in the Beloved" (Ephesians 1:5-6). It is the good news of redemption through the blood of Jesus "according to the riches of his grace," Ephesians 1:7, the forgiveness of sin. From the riches of God's grace in Christ Jesus we receive all the spiritual blessings from the heavenlies (Ephesians 1:3-14).  The gospel message is that salvation is a gift from God, freely given by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, rather than something from hum...
