He Cares About You

Casting all your anxiety on him because he cares about you (1 Peter 5:7) You know what is the secret to being able to cast your anxieties on him? Knowing that he cares for you. If you do not believe that someone cares you will not share your anxieties and burdens with them. Knowing that God cares and values you makes a difference. Look at the birds of the air; neither do they sow nor reap nor gather in storehouses, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than them? (Matthew 6:26-34) Birds don't sow to have seed to eat later, they don't gather food for the winter, yet God feeds them. Look at the lilies and how they grow, not toiling nor spinning. If he cares for the birds and clothes the flowers in such glory, how much more will he value and care for you? What do you have to be anxious about if you know he cares about you? If men being bad know how to give good things to their children how much more will God give good things to his children who ask. ...

Casting Your Cares Upon Jesus

humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God so that he may exalt you in season, casting all your cares to the extent of him because he cares for you .-1 Peter 5:6-7 The word casting is ἐπιρρίπτω (epiriptó from epi "on, upon" and rhiptó "to throw, cast, to throw off, toss") One way we can look at this is we must put off the old garments and put on the new. To be anxious about the cares of this world is unbelief and anything not of faith is a sin. Jesus says if we have faith we would not worry, be anxious, nor be afraid. But we all are anxious and afraid at times so lovingly He tells us to cast our cares upon him.  humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God so that he may exalt you in season.. . There is a con...

God Knows and He Cares

Look attentively at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they ?(Matthew 6:26) Does God care for the birds? God asks Job in his time of afflictiion this, "who provides food for the raven when its young cry out for help and wander for lack of food?" *  Do I not care for you Job? God cares, " He gives food to the wild animals and feeds the young ravens when they cry ." *  In fact, " all creatures look to You to give them their food in due season. " *  Look attentively at the birds, you will learn something about God. Even if they die, God knows, Jesus said, not a single sparrow falls to the ground without God knowing it. *  Not one bird is forgotten by God. *  God knows the plight of every animal. Are you not much more valuable to God? Even the hairs of your head are known by God (this is how attentive God is toward you) so do not be afraid you are wort...
