"You have come to a fullness in him which is the head" refers to maturity and bearing fruit, which is wholeness, lacking in nothing, in our souls. ... existing fullness in him who exists the head... The seeds within the head mature and ripen, gradually changing from green to brown or black indicating their fullness of growth, readiness to harvest. we know because all work for good the ones loved by God, the ones existing called according to his purpose because those he foreknew also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son (Romans 28-29) In this worm of a body exists the Spirit of God, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. Oh that we may have a spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowing Jesus, that the eyes of our hearts would be enlightened to the power that is available to us as believers (Ephesians 1:17-19). That we may have ruling power through the Spirit in our inner man (Ephesians 3:13-20). That the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead and lives in us may bring life to this mortal body (Romans 8:11). so then brethren we exist indebted not to the flesh to live according to the flesh, for if you live according to the flesh certainly death but if the Spirit puts to death the deeds of the body you will certainly live. it is not the spirit of the world we have received but the Spirit from God, so we know the gifts of grace to us from God (1 Corinthians 2:12) Grace (charis) has effects or gifts (charisma). *  Grace is not freestanding from its gifts. We know the gifts of grace because we have received the Spirit from God. Thus grace and its gifts come through the power and wisdom of God. Christ is our wisdom, so through the experiential knowing of Jesus, whose words are Truth and Spirit, we receive wisdom as needed. These truths are expressed spiritually, as the Spirit guides us into the truth. The mind of the carnal man can not receive such spiritual wisdom, because knowing comes through a spiritual discernment (1 Corinthians 2:14-16). So this is the purpose that God planned in Christ, that we become a new creation, a spiritual being, and thus can discern the spiritual things of God and know the gifts of grace from God.  existing in the world that was created by him, but the world disce...

but the spiritual discerns all, now, at the same time influenced by no ones examination, 'for has any known the mind of the Lord, to prove him?' Now, we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:15-16) We hear this often 'we have the mind of Christ' but I've never seen it used in context. Paul is partly defending his teachings, that it did not come from man, himself, but from God thus it was spiritual truth and could only be discerned by spiritual or right-minded people, and that the carnal mind can not comprehend it. Now, men added chapters and verses to Paul's letters and unfortunately, this verse ends without giving us important information related to this verse in the next chapter. The Greek word for service λατρεία ( latreia ) means exactly that. Many translations say this is your "spiritual worship" or "reasonable worship" but we will stay with the Greek. Very simple. Your reasonable or logical service as a child of God is to present your body on the altar of God as an acceptable sacrifice.  Reasonable means being in accordance with; having sound judgment. * Logic is defined as being in "accordance with" and capable of reasoning. *  Through the mercies of God you are in accordance with the sacrifice that is acceptable unto God.  This is your reasonable service as it leads to transformation and transformation renews the mind so that...
