you have need of endurance then so that doing the will of God receiving that promised. (Hebrews 10:36)
The writer to the Hebrews tells them to remember their former days when they had weathered difficult struggles, suffering, were made into public spectacles, insulted and persecuted, suffered in prison, and with joy accepted the confiscation of their belongings knowing they had a better and lasting possession (Hebrews 10:32-35). They had been suffering for a long time and were becoming disheartened, and Paul writes they were in need of endurance. Long-suffering is more difficult to endure. They needed the endurance to do the will of God and by doing the will of God they would receive that promised. Endurance is key to doing the will of God.
consider it joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials knowing that the proving of your faith works endurance and having endurance having its intended maturity, so that existing mature and whole, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)
The trial produces or works out endurance and once possessing it, you have its intended work; maturity. Endurance is needed to bring us into maturity. Some translations say the trial is testing the genuineness of our faith. Have we built upon a firm foundation so when the storm comes we stand or will what we have built upon collapse because it doesn't have the proper foundation? Certainly, the trial will reveal what kind of foundation we have. What is needed in the trial is endurance, as its intended work is to bring us into maturity so that we have the boldness to stand firm. Paul writes the same thing, suffering produces endurance (Romans 5:3). Peter writes this proving of our faith is a trial by fire and is very precious to God because by faith we please God and when the trial proves the genuineness of our faith it pleases God.
now that in good soil, these exist those hearing with fertile and good hearts, holding firmly the word and bearing fruit in endurance. (Luke 8:15)

The one who bears fruit some thirty, some sixty, some hundredfold are those who have grown their roots deeps, grown up enduring the thorns, bearing fruit through endurance. Jesus told the disciples they would be hated because of his name and not one hair from their heads would perish, "in your endurance gaining that your life" (Luke 21:17-19). In Hebrews we see the righteous live from faith, a faith that endures doesn't shrink back as the lost but endures to do the will of God thus pleasing God and preserving the soul (Hebrews 10:38-39). The goal of faith Peter writes is the salvation of our soul, and the desires of the flesh war against our soul (1 Peter 1:9; 1 Peter 2:11). Enduring faith bears fruit having grown up to maturity.
For whatever was written at an earlier time was written for our instruction, that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4, MOUNCE)
Paul writes through endurance and scriptures we might have hope. He expresses this also in Romans 5:3-5 saying hope is produced in the trial as we endure the proving of our faith. And "if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with endurance" (Romans 8:25). And the "God of endurance and encouragement" enables us to live according to Christ Jesus. "As servants of God we are constant ourselves in all: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses..." (2 Corinthians 6:4). We can be constant, enduring in all and anything. This is what it means to be firm and steadfast, to be established and strengthened in Christ.

strengthened in all power according to his glorious might, that to the extent of all endurance and long-suffering; with joy (Colossians 1:11)
Endurance and long-suffering come through the power of God, this is the only way you will find joy in suffering, it is according to his glorious might, he supplies the strength. We are deeply rooted and founded in faith and rooted and built up in Christ established in the faith, without having such a firm foundation we will not endure but fall away during the trial. Thus our hearts are directed into the love of God and into the endurance of Christ (2 Thessalonians 3:5). The man of God flees the love of money which is the root of all evil and instead pursues righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and meekness (1 Timothy 6:9-11). Mature men ought to be healthy in faith, love, and endurance (Titus 2:2).
See, blessed are the ones enduring. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the goal of the Lord, because the Lord exists full of compassion and mercy. (James 5:11)
There is a blessing that comes through endurance. Maybe you need to endure the discipline of the Lord in which there is encouragement that God is treating you like a son and that his discipline when trained by it produces peaceful fruit of righteousness. Peace in this world that passes understanding is a reward. Maybe you need to endure the temptation to seek the riches of this world or to endure the cares and anxieties of this world that are attempting to choke you out. Maybe it's overcoming the desires of the flesh warring against your soul. Remember there is a blessing, a reward for those who endure, you will receive what God has promised. There is motivation to endure. As James writes endurance produces maturity, wholeness, lacking in nothing. Wholeness, lacking in nothing is a great reward. It is a blessing to be content in all things, in hardships, afflictions, suffering... This is why contentment is great gain. So is the peace of God, for our hearts to be guarded by peace. There is a reward so "let us also lay aside every impediment, and the sin that so easily distracts, and let us run with endurance the race that is placed before us" (Hebrews 12:1).
