Great In The Kingdom Of God

Yea, the one great among you exists your servant, yea, whoever lifts up himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be lifted up.*

This is a principle of God, in our weakness God's power is perfecting us, lifting us up. Mary said God had looked on her humble state and blessed her to become the mother of Jesus, she said this is what the almighty does, "taking down rulers from thrones and exalting the humble."* Here are several principles of being great in God's eyes, it is so easy, and so hard, many are called but few are chosen. To be great in the kingdom of God is to be great in the eyes of God and to give your life a living sacrifice.

the one great among you exists your servant...*

To be great in the eyes of God is to be a servant of all. Jesus humbled himself becoming a man, and was obedient to the point of death on a cross.* Yes, the greatest in the kingdom of God become like Jesus, who existed a servant of all, so that many might be saved. Leadership is a place of serving, not a place to lord over all, but a place to serve all. The sacrifice of leadership in God's kingdom is to give your life as Christ gave his body for the Church. It is not a place for lords, not a place for personal gain, not a place to seek fame and fortune.*

yea, whoever lifts up himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be lifted up.*

Jesus humbled himself and was lifted up to the right hand of the Father, where all authority was given to him, in heaven and on earth. Most of the world doesn't believe in Jesus, so he is not great in their eyes. Greatness in the eyes of men is not greatness in the eyes of God. Greatness in the eyes of God is based upon faith, and on spiritual principles not elemental principles of this world. We see this principle that greatness comes in the eyes of God, not man, nor even in the eyes of those in the church. God takes what the world thinks is weak and despised and he makes great ones of faith out of these, so that the wisdom of God is manifested in things the world finds foolish, but God gets glory in. Those great men of present and past, pastors of small churches whom we may never know their names here on earth, these who give their lives for his church, these who seek first his Kingdom and righteousness, these are great in the eyes of God.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. "By His stripes you are healed."*

The word stripe means the mark of a blow, so he took our blows. When "he was reviled, he did not revile back; suffering he did not rebuke, yea, entrusting himself to the one judging justly."* Reviled means to reproach, rail at, revile, heap abuse upon. When we heaped abuse upon Jesus, he did not strike back. Think of the Roman Centurion who was at the cross, a commander of one hundred men, the ones parading Jesus around, abusing him and mockingly making him great... this centurion was there at the end, saying "truly this man exists the Son of God."* After all they did to him this soldier saw the humility and greatness of Christ, he did not revile back. And I believe this  soldier saw Jesus looking at him with agape love, saying forgive them Father for they know not what they do. This is great in the kingdom of God, to humble yourself to the point of death, to give your life a living sacrifice for his Church.
