Now, then justified by faith, having peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom having (peace) also having access, to the other, faith, to the extent of this one, grace, in whom we stand, and rejoice over hope, the glory of God.*
Notice the things we have in Jesus, we have justification, peace, faith, and grace. We are "justified freely by His grace through redemption that in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as an atoning sacrifice in his blood, through faith."* Redemption is deliverance procured by the payment of a ransom, Jesus being the author of redemption.* God demonstrated his righteousness through "passover," passing over previous sins and now at the present time so that he might exist just and the justifier; the one by faith in Jesus.* "For by grace you exist saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, so that no one boast."* This word for saved also means to rescue, deliver; to heal; by extension: to be in right relationship with God. Salvation to me is inclusive of all the spiritual blessings we receive in Christ Jesus. Blessed in Christ with justification, peace, faith, standing in Grace.
But you exist of him, in Christ Jesus who became our wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.*
Standing in Grace is to receive the wisdom and righteousness of God that comes through faith. in that which was accomplished in Christ. Boasting is excluded by what law? by works? no, by the law of Christ.* "For we reason a person is justified by faith apart from works of the Law."* Justification is by the blood of Jesus, and it is accomplished by faith according to grace. "So by works of the law no flesh at all justified before him, because through the Law, the knowledge of sin."* To not stand in grace is to be justified by works, thus breaking the law of Christ. The Law said there is none righteous. no not one, and it should have exposed their sinful nature and the need to depend upon God but instead they justified themselves by works. To me the whole point of grace, is that we come to understand that all we have is a gift from God, a benefit, including His power which is perfecting us in our weakness. If I am standing on works or performance then I do not stand in grace as I do not stand in his strength, it is not his power working in me but I am attempting it in the flesh.
For he is our peace, who made us both one also breaking down the dividing wall, abolishing in his flesh the hostility.*

An amazing verse, how did God condemn sin, by giving freely abundant grace and the gift of righteousness. And more, he gave us the power to become children of God, whereby in us he is working out all things for our good. It is a promise, not a threat, that one born of God will not continue in sin. One cannot and thank God for this, it is a true blessing, as it is not my duty, it is not my job, to be free from sin, Jesus died for that purpose. Do I not have all these things in Christ, including victory? and did not Jesus accomplish all this on the cross? Are we not chosen by grace? If this is true then what must I do to accomplish what Christ has already done? Absolutely nothing, except believe it is finished already. So if believing and it is finished then what is the problem?
After this knowing that all was now already finished, so that scripture was brought to its goal, said 'I am thirsty,' A jar full of sour wine was there so they attached it to a stick of hyssop and held it to his mouth. This goal was not to be accomplished in the Law or the Law would have made one righteous and perfected many, but it did not. The end goal of God's wisdom is manifested in the Church, built on the apostles and the prophets as they foresaw into this mystery. By the good pleasure of His will and wisdom, in Christ we receive blessings from the riches of his grace and glory. It is accomplished, speaks that Christ accomplished everything needed for our salvation. It is perfected speaks of the end goal of a pure bride. The scriptures being accomplished is us, speaks of a perfection in love, being and of being transformed into his image from glory from glory. If it is accomplished, brought to its goal, perfected and finished. So what else do we need to do?
I have a baptism to be baptized and how distressed until when it is finished.*

In His baptism, we participate in His dead so as to participate in His Life. We have the same power that raised Christ from the dead in us, surely, the devil is defeated thereby sin is condemned in the flesh.

Can a child of God use grace as a license to sin? if someone is born of God, now becoming a partaker of divine nature, no longer of sinful nature but a slave to righteousness, can this one be happy in sin? if he does the very things he hates, as he desires inwardly in the laws of God, this person is a wretched man, not living in freedom in which Christ set him free. So what is the problem? If he is in Christ then the weakness is the carnality of his mind, his mind is not renewed thus he can not submit himself to the laws of God. Evil knows this thus it wars against his mind to bring him into captivity to sin in the flesh. In this we see the purpose of grace? in our weakness His power is being perfected in us.
Three times I pleaded with the Lord over this, so that it would leave me, And he said to me, 'my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.' Therefore gladly I boast in my weakness, so that the power of Christ dwells in me.*

Paul writes of a thorn in his side, messengers of Satan sent to torment him, three times he pleaded with the Lord to take this away, but God did not. Why? If I am in Christ and it is finished in Christ and I believe this then there is no other explanation for our struggles other than this truth, 'my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.'

Human wisdom would say this man "loves" sin and because he doesn't have the "will power," he doesn't want to, therefore his issue is that he hasn't given up, repented or turned from sin. Such teachings say that deliverance is to be a one time event, and while God does do miracles, and our spirits are perfected, the whole truth of scripture is that freedom comes in abiding in truth. The wisdom of God says repentance is of His will and in Christ we are a new creation, thus we have the will or divine nature, accomplish or finished when we believed in Him. And did not Paul also write he kept doing the things he hated to do? yes, until he realized some truths.

Love covers a multitude of sin, so when sin abounds, it is covered because God so loved us He passed over our sin. Is the brother in Christ? The constancy of his sin is obvious but the fact that he repents says it bothers him, should not this be a telling sign of his struggle?

Freedom comes in Christ, and while we can say truth sets us free, the whole truth is that abiding in the truth is the key to being set free. We stand in grace, in a victory and freedom already accomplished in Christ. Think about this, if the Law existed we would be condemned, thus we stand in grace not boasting in works of the Law. We do not have to earn righteousness like a wage, it is a gift accomplished in the works of Christ. And he gave us the power to become children of God, a power raising us up into newness of Life. What do we do in this process? I am convinced the more we try to do on our own, the longer it takes but the main issue is that we have a carnal mind, it needs to be renewed so that we know our true identity. We see the principle of abiding in the truth giving freedom, this is the key to identity. I am in Christ, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, justified, free, dead to sin and alive to God, I am indebted to righteousness, my true identity.
