Astonished am I that so quickly you desert he who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, not that there exists another, unless exist some who try to confuse you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.*
The Church is not perfect but at the same time there is a true gospel. Paul writes some proclaim a different gospel, he writes these are accursed. "But even if we or an angel from heaven proclaim another gospel, near to that proclaimed, let him be accursed."* A different gospel "near to" the gospel is accursed. Why? This gospel others were teaching encouraged them to go back to a works justification, to build on the Law, which has a cruse. So they put themselves back under that curse. Also partial truth would be "near to" the truth, but its not the whole truth. It would be like picking and choosing some truth and disregarding others, "... they will not bear sound teaching but according to their own lusts procure many teachers for themselves to tickle their ears."* They turn from the true gospel of grace having went back to works, procuring for themselves teachers of the law, of circumcision, thus they are accursed. The true gospel is a gospel of grace, which some make of no affect, having perverted it.
I went up in response to a revelation and laid out before them though privately before the leaders, the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, lest somehow I run or had run in vain.*
Paul after some seventeen years proclaiming the gospel of grace to the Gentiles, Paul according to revelation, brought this matter before the church in Jerusalem. While they had heard about Paul's proclamation of Christ, they pretty did not know what to do with him, remembering how he had persecuted them. Paul, a zealot under Judaism, a teacher of the law, now explains this incredible grace of God that had been revealed to him. This matter had come up because false brothers had slipped into the church, spying out their freedom in Christ to make slaves of them. He calls them "of the circumcision party," they are also called Judaizers because they go back, deciding to adopt Jewish customs and practices, primarily, circumcision and the Law of Moses. So Paul takes this matter to Jerusalem having revelation from Jesus.
But when God who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, taking pleasure to reveal His Son in me so that I proclaim the good news among the Gentiles, not consulting flesh and blood.*
Now, Paul had been a part of Judaism, and had even persecuted the early church, until he met Jesus, who called him, predestined him, through his grace. Paul was not apart of the early Church until after he spent three years in Arabia and then another fourteen years in Central Asia. During this time he had revelation of the gospel of grace, a Dispensation of Grace, not appointed to him by flesh and blood, but by Jesus who called him to administer and preach the gospel to the Gentiles. When returning John, Cephas, and James recognized the grace of God in him and accepted him. This revelation of the gospel of grace was revealed to him by Jesus Christ, of course, John the Beloved saw this grace in Jesus, he writes that Jesus came in the fullness of the Father, of grace and truth and that the Law had been given to Moses but grace and truth came in Jesus.*
Yet we know no one is justified by works of the Law but faith in Jesus Christ and we believe in Christ Jesus so that justification by faith in Christ and not by doing works of the Law, since no one will be justified in works of the Law.*
It is the foundation of the gospel that righteousness is by faith, according to grace. We do not achieve this Righteousness it is a gift given to us when we believe in Jesus Christ. It is according to Grace for several reasons Paul writes, so it comes to both those who were held captive under a guardian of the Law and to those of the faith of Abraham. The promise was to the Seed, not plural descendants of Abraham but to the descendant of Abraham, Jesus Christ. So that those who believe in Jesus are sons of Abraham. It is also according to grace so that we walk in newness of life not by the letter of the law, this is how we will rule over sin. We find His Grace is sufficient as His power is working within us to accomplish this good. We are chosen by grace and he doesn't leave us orphans, he gives us a Spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father! This power is working within us raising us up into newness of Life.
But if brought in the Spirit; exist not under the Law.*
This is important and Paul repeats this in exact words to the Romans.* This word for brought is often translated led, but this word is most used as to bring, brought. The Holy Spirit draws us to Jesus and guides us into the truth. We can think of it as being led or under its control but really the Spirit is Life is raising us up, bringing us into newness of life. We are not being controlled like a robot but it is transformation, becoming like the true nature we are born into. We are not slaves like those who were under the Law, but in Christ we have become children of God. Unlike a slave a child abides in the house forever. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is raising us into newness of Life. Praise God it is so, that it is not by our efforts but through the power of the Spirit. We trust and enter into his rest, depending upon Him. The key and only thing we can do, is abide, in the Word and Spirit of Life. We feed on the Words of Jesus, he is eternal Life. You can't bear fruit apart from the Vine.
But if I build up again that which was tore down, I demonstrate myself a lawbreaker.*

This bringing into Life by the Holy Spirit. In it we see the concept of God's grace being sufficient as His power is bringing us into newness of Life.
For through the Law I died to laws so that I live to God, crucified with Christ, now, I no longer live but Christ lives in me and the Life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.*
How important is the teachings of baptism in knowing such truth. Some teach this living is like God taking over, now controlling us. But it is more like glorification, being transformed into the glory of Jesus Christ. I become who I truly am. The Spirit of Life raises us up into newness of life and frees us from the principle of sin and death. Those under the letter of the law will not rule over sin as sin abounds under the letter of the law. The Law was holy and spiritual but because of the weakness of the flesh, because of the carnal sinful nature of man he could not adhere to the laws of God. So God showed His great mercy and love for us, instead of condemning us He sent his only Son to die on a tree, thereby erasing the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us. His death brought in a new will, or covenant, a dispensation of grace. Not that God's righteousness has changed but how we obtain it is by faith according to grace. It was Christ who nailed the commandments which were adverse to us to the cross. As prophesied He puts his Spirit within us, giving us a new heart and will that desires the laws of God in our inner being. We have His righteous nature within us, we are indebted to it. So in Christ we have victory, it is no longer a matter of changing my will, this Christ accomplished in the gift of righteousness, it is matter of transformation.
Not nullifying the grace of God; for if righteousness came through the Law, then Christ died in vain.*
If righteousness came through the Law, there would have been no need for Christ to come and die. The Spirit is Life through righteousness in which we receive as a free gift by faith in Christ. Those who go back to the Law nullify his death, grace, and the power of the Spirit he came to give us. Even a harsher statement by Paul is that these who go back sever themselves from Christ and fall from grace. To nullify is to make of no effect, and severing speaks of cutting off blood flow, and this what they do, the very blood that was shed to forgive sin, that justified them and made them righteous, they now nullify or sever going back to justification by works. They fall from grace and the power of God is of no effect. They go back and build upon that which Christ tore down, which he did for their benefit, but now they neglect this grace and the curse which points out their failure to obtain righteousness by works. It absolutely makes no sense, but this is why Paul writes they are bewitched.

But this falls from grace and neglects the atonement blood of Jesus. Paul writes repentance is of the will of God, without regret. Our true nature is now ashamed of the things we did in the flesh. Its the principle of being born of the Spirit, God accomplishes His work by putting his divine nature in us. Fear of punishment, guilt, shame, these are tools of those who adhere to a works justification, along with self-abasement of the flesh, adhering to the letter of the law, principles of do not touch, taste, handle, which do nothing to accomplish the goal which the Spirit of God accomplishes in us. So do we understand it is according to grace? what did we do to accomplish this, did we work, did we deserve it like a wage earned, or did we understand it is a gift from Christ and thus we boast in Him. "Existing so foolish? beginning in the Spirit, but now completing the goal in the flesh?"*
And the scriptures foreseeing that God would justify the gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham, saying "in you all nations will be blessed.*
This is hard teaching for some to take, but the Jew of the flesh are not of the sons of Abraham. Jesus said they must enter by being born of the Spirit. Jesus came among his own who did not receive him, but to those who did he gave the power to become children of God. The Spirit is the guarantee of this inheritance until we acquire possession. We are co-heirs in Christ, in whom the promise was directed, that the gospel would come to all peoples and all nations. This is the gospel, in which is being revealed the mystery of God through the Church, that God made two into one, in which there is no distinction, all peoples and all nations are blessed.
So then those who believe are blessed with Abraham, the believer.*

The Law came because of transgression, pointing out sinful nature that none were righteous, no not one. If the Law gave Life and works of the law made one righteous then Jesus would have died in vain, but the law did not, so that the promise would come through faith in Jesus Christ to those believing.
in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham comes to the Gentiles, so that we receive the promise of the Holy Spirit.*

Jesus said a slave doesn't reside in the house forever but a son does, this son-ship is accomplished in the Spirit. It is a Spirit of adoption, a great spiritual blessing we receive in Jesus, along with redemption, and the forgiveness of sin. The promise did not come under circumcision, not under the Law which came some four hundred years later, it was not a promise to one nation, the promise is not to earthly descendants of Abraham, not to those circumcised of the flesh, but to those born of the Spirit of God. The promise of earthly land will be fulfilled in a new Jerusalem that comes from heaven, but the promise of inheritance is fulfilled through the Spirit. Jesus said one must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God, this is by faith according to grace so that the promise comes to all nations and all peoples.
For freedom Christ set us frees, stand firm therefore and do not subject again to a yoke of slavery.*
While being captive to sin is slavery Paul writes in context speaking of those who have went back to the law and works justification as being enslaved again. If they agreed to circumcision which speaks of them living to the letter of the law, Christ would be of no benefit to them, they would fall from grace, nullify the power of God in them.* If you have time read chapter 4, it speaks more of what it means to be enslaved under the law, which is being enslaved under the flesh. Paul writes to the Romans that sin abounded under the law, and to the Galatians he points this out, how they are biting and devouring one another, and how all the fleshly desires of the flesh are increased under the law. Paul was determined to proclaim a gospel of grace to counter this type of false religion that so deceptively builds upon the old covenant. It was a battle of the early church and it is today, such a mindset seen clearly in the church today, by its lack of love for one another.
For you brothers were called to freedom, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve another. For the entire Law is perfected in a single saying, 'you shall love your neighbor as yourself.'*
What is the solution for ruling over sin that crouches at the door? for Cain it was to love his brother, and so it is for us. The gospel is a gospel of grace, and by far we will never be perfected into living one another by living in the flesh. Living to the letter of the law, justification by works is just another form of living in the flesh. The true gospel will never be accomplished in the flesh, it requires us to depend upon the Holy Spirit to love one another. Anything that takes on the form of works justification, whether its living to the letter of the law, or some form of self-abasement of the flesh, or even teachings of sacrifice or serving, it true nature is exposed by its lack of obedience to the greater command of God to love. This different gospel which is not of grace does great harm to the body of Christ. Jesus said, His body of disciples, should be defined by their love for one another.
For I say walk by the Spirit, even so perfected, not perfected in the desires of the flesh.*
Living to letter of the law brings out all kinds of freshly desires, it perfects the desires of the flesh. It nullifies the true gospel of grace, it perverts the gospel. Under grace we are being perfected in a Spirit of power, of love and of a renewed mind, not in the fear of punishment. In love, we know we have been perfected when we live according to our true nature which is by the Spirit. It is the Spirit accomplishing this, bringing us into newness of Life. This is the main purpose of the Church, that we teach so that we reach the full measure of the stature of Christ, of grace and truth. Or we look like Christ, are Christ like. A different gospel is not of grace, it will sacrifice growth in the body, it will never accomplish perfection, it will never love like Jesus, it will never become like Christ, and it will never rule over sin. This different gospel might say it loves Jesus and is Christ like but it is exposed by its lack of love within, its perverts the gospel being a great hypocrisy to world. Many in the Church would be set free by having revelation into this truth Paul writes to the Galatians. I am convinced of the true gospel of grace and that such will bring revival to the church which will spread throughout the world.

Paul was determined to proclaim a gospel of grace to counter this type of false religion that so deceptively builds upon the old covenant. It was a battle of the early church and it is today, such a mindset seen clearly in the church today, by its lack of love for one another.
For you brothers were called to freedom, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve another. For the entire Law is perfected in a single saying, 'you shall love your neighbor as yourself.'*
What is the solution for ruling over sin that crouches at the door? for Cain it was to love his brother, and so it is for us. The gospel is a gospel of grace, and by far we will never be perfected into living one another by living in the flesh. Living to the letter of the law, justification by works is just another form of living in the flesh. The true gospel will never be accomplished in the flesh, it requires us to depend upon the Holy Spirit to love one another. Anything that takes on the form of works justification, whether its living to the letter of the law, or some form of self-abasement of the flesh, or even teachings of sacrifice or serving, it true nature is exposed by its lack of obedience to the greater command of God to love. This different gospel which is not of grace does great harm to the body of Christ. Jesus said, His body of disciples, should be defined by their love for one another.
For I say walk by the Spirit, even so perfected, not perfected in the desires of the flesh.*
Living to letter of the law brings out all kinds of freshly desires, it perfects the desires of the flesh. It nullifies the true gospel of grace, it perverts the gospel. Under grace we are being perfected in a Spirit of power, of love and of a renewed mind, not in the fear of punishment. In love, we know we have been perfected when we live according to our true nature which is by the Spirit. It is the Spirit accomplishing this, bringing us into newness of Life. This is the main purpose of the Church, that we teach so that we reach the full measure of the stature of Christ, of grace and truth. Or we look like Christ, are Christ like. A different gospel is not of grace, it will sacrifice growth in the body, it will never accomplish perfection, it will never love like Jesus, it will never become like Christ, and it will never rule over sin. This different gospel might say it loves Jesus and is Christ like but it is exposed by its lack of love within, its perverts the gospel being a great hypocrisy to world. Many in the Church would be set free by having revelation into this truth Paul writes to the Galatians. I am convinced of the true gospel of grace and that such will bring revival to the church which will spread throughout the world.
