Word of Our Testimony

And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.1

I believe that we all have a personal message to tell. Truth that is given and revealed to each one. There is reason this living stone becomes a part of God's temple, not only to build his temple here on earth, but each has a gift that contributes to the Church. This gift is wrapped in Grace and is often the result of brokenness. It is God reaching out and touching the core of our being, we have this hope instilled in us, it transforms our brokenness into life. God can use our message to give hope and life to others.

There is great power in the blood of the lamb. It is interesting to note that it was not only the blood of the lamb that gave victory over Satan, it included the word of their testimony. The testimony is about this person who shed his blood and as such we receive amazing grace. Such love,  for they loved not their lives even unto death. His blood and his grace in us becomes our testimony and in this there is great power; such cast Satan out of heaven, such reunites man with God, such destroys death and gives eternal life.

God transforms the thorn of tragedy and death into a flower of redemption and life. This is a testimony to God's grace. It is a message to the Church. One of the reason living stones are placed in the spiritual house, is to add that message to the body, one of experiential truth, not only a head knowledge, but of hope experienced and faith lived out. This builds up the body into his love, into hope.

Jesus came not into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. The world is condemned, so hope is a powerful message in reaching them. God gives us not a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind. People need hope not that which produces fear, condemnation, or confusion. If we love them then we want to give them a hope and a future, God gives us such, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.2

The message is one of a divine nature, not necessarily unique in principle but affirming in spirit and truth. This affirming of the word of God in our spirit, in itself leads us into truth. A testimony affirms truth and instills hope in others, this is the very nature of faith, the substance of things hoped for. People who do not know Christ are condemned, they need hope, and we have this hope within us.

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.3
