For right is the word of the Lord and all he does is faithful (Psalm 33:4).
God is right. The word right means pleasing, straight, upright, and just, both in regards to God and man. God is faithful. Have you ever thought about this, how God is faithful? We hear and read that we must have faith to be please God, why? Is it is because all he does is faithful? Think about this. All God does is faithful therefore faith is his essence, his character, who he is. To please him is to be like him, faithful.
now, faith exists assurance, hope, and conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1)
"Assurance means “confidence, trust, being sure; being, essence” it is a standing under, a taking of a thing upon one’s self; an assumed position... Conviction here is defined as a trial in order to prove; a certain persuasion. This fits with the root word of faith and the idea of faith being a firm persuasion, and it is the concept of approving and receiving. Assurance and conviction exist as things of faith, things not seen."Lovefulfilled.org
God exists faithful, it is his essence. To please God we stand under or take upon what is God's essence; faith. The essence of conviction is to persuade and the root word of faith has the meaning to be persuaded. Now, how can we have faith, how can we receive the essence of who God is? We look to Jesus, the author, and perfector of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We look to Jesus to author and we look to Jesus to perfect faith in us. This implies true faith increases and that we are being perfected thus we can be faithless at times.
you, therefore, be perfect like as your heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48)
