Glory Revealed

Now, may the God of all grace, the one calling you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after suffering a while, he prepares, establishes, strengthens, and founds you. 1 Peter 5:10

He has called us into his glory and we see his glory is being revealed in us in the suffering when he has prepared (accordingly readied, qualified) and established (support that fixes, causes to stand) and strengthened (grow strong, impart strength) and founded (lay the foundation of, ground) us. The God of all grace is revealing his glory in us.

For presently we are looking through a mirror obscurely, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.*

The Sovereign God, who has chosen us by grace and called us into eternal glory, will allow for us to suffer, for a little while. Such time of suffering is nothing compared to the eternal weight of glory being revealed in us. We should ask as Moses, show me your glory.* Those God predestined, he called and those he called he justified and these he glorified. This is according to that purposed in Christ.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,*

During the suffering, God is sovereign, right? there is a purpose to it? Does not the potter have the right to make what he desires of the clay?* He is working out all things for our good according to His purpose. It might feel like your faith is not strong, and hope is hard to grasp, and you may find it difficult in your mind to trust. You might even act like a child who has been diciplined, who is then reluctant to enter into the father's presense, especially when the suffering is painful and continues. Suffering can cause doubt and even questions of losing your salvation, as it may seem you have failed, in faithfullness. But God is sovereign and faithfull, this is His promise; suffering for a while, he prepares, establishes, strengthens, and founds. It is to reveal His glory in you, he chose you for this purpose.
