Whose Child Am I?

Beloved, at the present existing children of God and not yet brought to light what we exist knowing that when brought to light existing like Him, because we behold him just as he exists. And all who have this hope in Him purifies himself just as He exists pure.*

Whom they heard, beheld, and their hands touched, the word of Life, that which was brought to light in them, John proclaims and bear witness to us, eternal life, so that we too may have fellowship. And the one who has fellowship with the Son, walks in the light, also having fellowship with the Father, and the blood of Jesus cleanses him from all sin. These things John is writing so that we might not sin, and have fellowship, and walk in the light not in darkness thus our joy is complete. John writes to us, we have this hope in Him, as children of God, and those who have this hope purify themselves as He is pure.

What great love the Father has given us so that we are called children of God, and so we exist!*

What hope do we have? we are children of God. How do we know we are children of God? The child John writes knows the Father and that his sins are forgiven.* The child has received testimony of blood, having been forgiven sin. How does the child know the Father? "In love he marked us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ..."*  The child knows the Father because he has testimony of Spirit, having received a Spirit of adoption, one that testifies that he exists a child of God, and whom cries Daddy Father!* Who have this testimony? Who become children of God? "Now, as many as accept Him, these he gives the ability to become children, to the one believing in His name."* To those who hear the word of truth, the gospel of salvation, believing, they are marked with the Holy Spirit of promise.* If we are children, if we have this hope in him, God pours out into hearts the love of God, and we will purify ourselves as He is pure. As children He has called us, a people of His own, a holy people, therefore it is our reasonable service, our High calling to become holy like Him.* Our perfection is in love and the bond of love leads to perfection or maturity. Peter writes we are given everything for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him so that we escape the corruption of the world and become partakers of His divine nature.*

just as he chose us in Him before the creation of the world to exist holy, and blameless before him in love.*

To be chosen, is to be a child of God, a citizen of heaven, and as children we have this hope in him, and those who have this hope, purify themselves just as He is pure. It is our calling, our destiny. Think about it, if our destiny is heaven, and to be in heaven is to be pure and holy, then our destiny is to become holy and pure, like Jesus. If we are chosen, adopted as his children then also we are chosen to become holy. This is the whole point of consecration, a people set apart. If I am a child I am not a sinner, one who practice, makes, does, and constructs sin. "No one abiding in him sins, no one sinning beholds him nor knows Him."* To behold him and to know Him is to know he is pure, without sin, and that he suffered in the flesh to put to death sin, and that he came to destroy the works of the devil. If I know this about Him and he is in me can I continue in sin? Those who behold him and know Him, he gives the power to become children of God, thus all is given that is needed for life and godliness. The Spirit given testifies to the child that he belongs to the Father and the Spirit leads the child to abide in Him, Jesus, in which come purification. Child you have all you need for godliness, you have the Spirit and you have the words of Jesus written down, abide in Him.

And all who have this hope in Him purifies himself just as He exists pure.*

Sin is lawlessness, so all who practice sin practice lawlessness. Do not be deceived, the one who practice righteousness is righteous, the one who practice sin is of the devil. Are you a child of God? then do not practice sin but practice righteousness. Arm yourself with the same mind of Christ who suffered to put sin to death in the flesh and to be raised into newness of life. If you are a child of God, His seed abides in you, the promise is it will grow up and bear fruit of righteousness. There is a time to be a child and a time to grow up. Our Father spends much time establishing his children building a strong foundation but there is time to become a man. Is it time for you? If it is time, and the promise is the child can't continue in sin then you leave your Father no other choice, but to whip you. God disciplines his children, to continue in sin not growing up, would be to exist an illegitimate child. As a child of God I am not defined by sinful nature but by righteousness therefore I am indebted to live to righteousness.

Children I am writing these things to you so that you do not sin and if anyone sins we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ.*

John is not writing these things to condemn God's children, no, there is no condemnation in Christ, he is writing these things so that we will not sin and that our joy will be complete. He is telling the children of God of who they truly are in Christ. Think about it, if I am truly a child of God, of His divine nature then I will not sin, I will grow up and put away the old self and become who I really am, a child of God. To continue in sin is to say I am a child of the devil? or that I lack the power to practice truth thus I am not mature, I am a child. Can you tell the difference? The fact that I put away sin is a telling sign that I am mature and bear fruit of righteousness. Who would want to stay a child? A child is to grow up into salvation, it is his destiny, so he is to make sure of his calling, as to stay in sin or to fall back would be as a illegitimate child, either way it is to fall into the hands of a living God.

The one doing sin exists of the devil, because the devil sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose; to destroy the works of the devil.*

Paul writes all not of faith is sin.* The faith of Abraham states he did not turn back because of unbelief but he was strengthened in faith until he was fully convinced of God's promises. Child of God be strengthened in faith, do not allow your unbelief to define who you are. By faith you are a child of Abraham, circumcised in the heart through the Spirit. You are not a child of disobedience but a child of obedience. You are not a slave but a child of the King who will abide in the house forever. Make sure of your calling, press in child of God, do not turn back as the lost, be strengthened in faith, trusting in the promises of God. Those who behold him and believe in Him have life, and we know we have crossed over from life to death because we love the brethren. And that we have become obedient, like Him in maturity, putting away the things of a child beholding Him as in a mirror, pure, thus we put away sin. A child of God is beloved, having this hope in him and purifying himself just as He is pure, and the beloved loves the beloved of God. As any father would delight in his children being like him, we too are the praise of glory and Jesus is the hope of glory. He is a good Father who loves his children, and His children loved by Him these want to become like Him.
