Salvation Of Your Soul

obtaining the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.*

We receive eternal redemption in Christ, and we are born of Spirit entering into the kingdom of heaven, in which we have guarantee of inheritance. The soul is not the same as the Spirit, the soul refers to life, soul; heart, mind; a person. A living soul is that of flesh and blood, and in the blood is life, but this life of flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of God, one must be born of Spirit. God breathed life into Adam, thus he became a living soul. Adam was a living soul but Christ came as a life giving Spirit.* Christ is the first born, the first fruit of a new creation, and in the new covenant in His blood, we are born of Spirit, something new that did not exist before. First we are born of flesh, a living soul, and in Christ we are born of Spirit, partaking of God's divine nature. When we believed in Jesus we entered into the kingdom of heaven being born of Spirit. When we separate the soul from the Spirit, we see the concept of salvation of your Souls.

the spiritual, however, was not first, but the natural, and then the spiritual.*

If Christ is the first born of a new creation then this creation had to exist before Adam or Adam did not exist as we do in Christ. The natural, Adam, was first, does not this truth say mankind did not first exist spirits in heaven but first became a living soul on earth, nor does it say God breathed his Spirit into Adam? God created Adam from dust breathing life into him, the life that speaks of a living soul. Nevertheless, unlike Adam, the second man, Christ, existed in the heavens first. Christ came to redeem mankind from sin that existed in the heart of Satan whom deceived man. And because it was man who sold his birthright, a man was needed to redeem man, therefore God prepared a body for this purpose, and Christ was obedient even to the point of death, so that we might be saved. Those who believe in Christ receive eternal redemption and he also came to condemn sin in the flesh thus we see the salvation of our souls.

Now when this priest brought a single sacrifice for sin, to the extent of the time, to be seated at the right-hand of God, the one remaining until the very adversary placed a footstool for his feet, now, one offering perfected to the extent of the time the one sanctified.*

It is the truth, that in Christ we are perfected, holy, consecrated, by the blood of Jesus Christ.* What is perfected? How many Christians have you known perfect in character like Jesus? How else can we explain this issue than a separation of the Spirit, Soul, and Body? It is true that the one who is not born of Spirit has a soul and these without Christ will spend an eternity separated from Him For these  they are condemned already, so what is important is the command to believe. For those in Christ having eternal salvation, evil wars against the soul, thus we see the concept of salvation of the soul. "Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul."*

like as, just born children, desire milk, pure, reasonable so that in it you grow up to the extent of salvation.*

If I am perfect why do I need to grow up? How else can we explain this other than in regards to our soul? Because my Spirit is perfect, in fact Paul writes it sits in the heavenlies with Christ, but I exist in a corrupt body, in which sin dwells. Our victory is faith, and faith is given as a measure, increasing as to how much we sow the Word of Life, the words of Jesus that exist eternal Life into our lives. Let us call this process a salvation of your soul, to distinguish it from our eternal redemption. Also let us briefly speak of the concept of redemption of the body, which we will receive when Christ returns or we die resurrected in our new body. So redemption as is salvation is in three parts, spirit, soul, and body. The word of God penetrates this inner part of our being dividing the soul from Spirit and flesh and bone.

Living is the word of God, active and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of joint and marrow, and is able to to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.1
For the salvation of the soul there exists a process, a working out, a growing up into salvation. We see these concepts in the scriptures; purification of the body, a transformation which renews the mind, a glorification, a transforming or conforming to the image of Christ. In the teaching of baptism teaches us to off the old man and put on the new man. In this process we add to our faith, excellence, knowledge, self-control... we are building character, endurance, which speaks not of our eternal salvation but of our soul, the perfection of our character, which should reflect a new heart, and a renewed mind, like Christ.

... work out your salvation with fear and trembling.*

Paul writes we are to work out our salvation which doesn't mean we work for eternal salvation, no, eternal redemption is accomplished in his blood, but we want to be assured of our salvation. Faith exists assurance. We want to be assured we are a true disciple by abiding, continuing, remaining, looking intently into truth, the law of liberty. We increase faith by abiding in the words of Jesus. Peter writes the goal of our faith is the salvation of our souls, thus growing up is through abiding in Christ. Paul writes evil wars against the carnal mind bringing us into captivity to sin thus Peter urges us "to abstain from the desires of the flesh, which war against your soul."* Now, Peter is speaking to believers, who have received eternal redemption, which is obtained by His blood.* Paul writes these have testimony of blood, and Spirit. John writes they know the Father and that their sins are forgiven. The Spirit is "a guarantee of inheritance until the redemption of the possession," which speaks of full completion, a redeemed body.*

everyone born of God, overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.*

Jesus is the author and perfecter of faith thus our victory comes through him.* Jesus is the Word of God thus the one who abides in the word of God overcomes the evil one, the ruler of this world.* Jesus is the true Vine, thus those who abide in him bear fruit.* Therefore we come to this truth, those who abide in the words of Jesus, increase in faith, saving their soul. This process builds character, teaches endurance, obedience, it renews the mind, grows deep roots, it builds a foundation, it establishes the sanctified in Christ. Now, established, stand, for the salvation of your soul.
