The Secret Place

He who inhabits the covering of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.*

The covering of the most High I inhabit, my shelter, a tent, a secret place, a place to hide. In his covering He hovers, his presence shadows over me.* In this place I abide, lodge, remain. He who inhabits the secret place, will remain in the presence of the Almighty. I will inhabit the secret place of God, there I will find rest, protected by the Almighty. I enter this place because I have placed my trust in Him.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.*

Surely He will deliver from evil, though the snares are laid, "no evil shall be allowed to befall you, For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone." Nor shall the destruction of the plague befall you, though it dwells at the tent. "He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler."*

Though you walk in the valley of death, in His shadow abide, and "you will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you." Because you have trusted in the Lord.

Because you the Lord are my refuge, Most High I have made a dwelling place.*

When you inhabit the secret place, He will say, "That I delight, therefore I will deliver him, I will set him on high because he has known my name and when he calls on me I will answer and be with him in trouble, I will deliver him honorably. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."*
