Eternal Life

I exist the resurrection and the life. The one believing in me, even if he dies, lives, and all who live and believe in me, none will die. Do you believe this? * Jesus is the author of faith, he is also the author of salvation, and now we see he is the author of the resurrection. Life is not in his death, life is not in the cross, life is not in his blood, Eternal Life is in Jesus. What must I do to receive eternal Life? A young man came to Jesus asking, teacher what good thing must I do so that I have eternal Life . * It is an important question for all, what must you do for eternal life? When Jesus pointed out that following the Law will not give you eternal life, nor doing good things, and how difficult it is for a rich man to enter heaven, the disciples were astounded, also asking "who then can be saved?" Jesus looked at them and said, "with man this exists impossible, but with God is all power." *  This is a truth of eternal life, we have no power to acc...

Soul Saving Power

Therefore  lay off  all pollution and superabundant evil, receiving with meekness the  implanted  Word, the power to save your souls. * This word for  lay off means "to lay off, lay down or aside, as garments." Paul uses this concept related to the teachings of baptism, laying off of the old man, the old filthy garments, polluted, and stained. We are to put on the new man, that belonging a first fruit, a new creation in Christ. How? This is probably the most misunderstood aspect of Christianity today. There is a way, the word for implanted speaks of implanted, ingrafted, infixed.   In scripture we see clearly a distinction between soul, body, and Spirit and we read it is the Word of God that penetrates through, like a two-edged sword distributing the two, along with the thoughts and intentions of the heart. *  It is the implanted Word of God that saves the soul, it is the truth that sanctifies. Jesus fulfilled the will of the Father by brin...

Standing in Grace

Now, then justified by faith, having peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom having (peace) also having access, to the other, faith, to the extent of this one, grace, in whom we stand, and rejoice over hope, the glory of God . * Notice the things we have in Jesus, we have justification, peace, faith, and grace. We are " justified freely by His grace through redemption that in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as an atoning sacrifice in his blood, through faith ." * Redemption is deliverance procured by the payment of a ransom, Jesus being the author of redemption. *  God demonstrated his righteousness through "passover," passing over previous sins and now at the present time so that he might exist just and the justifier; the one by faith in Jesus. *   " For by grace you exist saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, so that no one  boast ." *  This word for saved also means to rescue, deli...

Great in God

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness, for His name's sake... 1 This word for want speaks of not lacking, of need, decrease. Jesus said, " Look at the birds, they neither sow nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. *  If God takes care of the birds how much more will he take care of His children, these say " The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want ." Now, the birds do not sow and reap and he cares for them, they do not store up into a storehouse, and he cares for them. He provides for our needs, a need is that which is essential and very important. To be great in God is to be established in that which is essential and very important.  He makes me lie down in green pastures ... A principle of the kingdom of God, is that we put our trust in God and enter His rest. Rest comes ...

I Am A Child of God

through  which freely given, that both precious and costly promises, so that through them you may be freed from the corruption in the world, in sinful desires,  becoming partakers of  God's divine nature . * How do we flee sinful desires in which the world is defined and enslaved? we are given a new nature, God's nature, which includes righteousness. How did Jesus condemn sin in the flesh? through a new creation, putting his Spirit within us. We are born of Spirit, a Spirit of adoption whereby we become the children of God. Being born of the Spirit is an amazing concept in and of itself, but there is more, when we are born of Spirit we  become partakers of  God's divine nature.  It is God's power at work within us because we exist a child of God, raising his children up into newness of Life. His grace is sufficient for this purpose and because we exist his child, he will not leave us as orphans, he chose us by grace, he will never kick us out of his fa...

Gospel of Grace

Astonished am I that so quickly you desert he who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, not that there exists another, unless exist some who try to confuse you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. * The Church is not perfect but at the same time there is a true gospel. Paul writes some proclaim a different gospel, he writes these are accursed. " But even if we or an angel from heaven proclaim another gospel, near to that proclaimed, let him be accursed ." *  A different gospel "near to" the gospel is accursed. Why? This gospel others were teaching encouraged them to go back to a works justification, to build on the Law, which has a cruse. So they put themselves back under that curse. Also partial truth would be "near to" the truth, but its not the whole truth. It would be like picking and choosing some truth and disregarding others, " ... they will not bear sound teaching but according to their own lusts procure many teac...
