Life And Light to Men

Whom, existing from the beginning, whom we heard, whom we saw with our eyes, whom we looked upon, and our hands have touch, concerning the Word of Life, this Life we bring to Light, and behold and witness and proclaiming to you the Eternal Life, that existed with the Father and which is brought to Light to us. Whom seen and heard proclaiming also to you that you too might have fellowship with us and indeed the fellowship of ours, together with the Father and with the One Son Jesus Christ. These things we are writing that your joy may be complete.^

It is an amazing thing that "whom existing from the beginning," He came to earth and they heard His words, saw with their eyes, they looked upon Him, and their hands touched the Word of Life, whom, was in the beginning. "In the beginning existed the Word and the Word existed with the One God and the Word existed God."^  They heard, saw and touched the Word of Life, who was in the beginning. "He existed in the beginning with the One God and all creation in Him, and a part from Him not one was created whom He did not create."^  And this is what it means concerning the Word of Life, that He gives Life, so whom created all in the beginning has "made us alive." We exist a new creation in Christ who came as Life and Light to men.

In Him exists Life, and that Life exists the Light of spiritual man, and the Light came to appear in the darkness and the darkness perceives it not, not laying hold of the same.^

Concerning the Word of Life, He came as a Light placed upon a lamp stand in a dark world. Darkness doesn't lay hold of it, but those who love, truth, come to the Light, so we see keys to believing; perceive, lay hold of the Word of Life; hear, look upon, consider, behold, touch. "For this is the will of the Father, that everyone who looks upon the Son and believes in Him, has eternal Life..."^ This word for look upon means "to see, behold, look at, watch closely; perceive, consider, experience, to come to a knowledge of." When we hear the Word of Life, the Father reveals the knowledge of the Son, through the Holy Spirit, so all who look upon the Son, "all that which the Father gives me comes near me; and the one who comes near me, in no way turn away."^

This exists the message we heard from him and proclaim to you: God exists light and exists absolutely no darkness in Him. If saying that fellowship we have with Him but follow in the darkness, we lie and are not established in truth.^

In the beginning, God said, "'Let there be light,' and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness."^ The concept of following Christ is that we are being established in truth, walking or living in the Light, abiding. Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If whoever abides in the One, my Word, this one exists truly my disciple, and perceiving the truth and the truth is, your liberation."^ We know that Freedom from darkness comes in the Light, one must lay hold of it, not being overcome by darkness. We see perceiving, or understanding in the knowledge of the Son, or personally experiencing and knowing Jesus the truth, comes through revelation of the Spirit and by abiding in the vine, or the Word of Life, which sets one free from darkness.

If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.^

Remember that Satan is a deceiver, a liar, the accuser of the brethren, and he masquerades as light. It is why a lying tongue, one that falsely accuses a brother is an abomination to God. Satan works to enslave men to evil and to destroy the creation of God. Paul writes, evil wars, through the flesh, against the Spirit bringing us into captivity. Wretched is the child of God who has not found the ability to overcome the flesh as these are kept enslaved to evil. Those who are enslaved are under the influence of the principalities of darkness, thus they walk in darkness. Paul writes, many of these spirits are being introduced in the Church through doctrines, teachings, and traditions of men. We see such in teachings of authority that "lords" over others, making them untouchable nor accountable to the Body and truth.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.^

At work in these false teachings are spirits of darkness, whose ultimate goal is to cause little children to stumble, to lead the Church astray. The child deceived doesn't come the Light because he doesn't trust it, having believed a lie. And because there are spiritual forces at work, like a spirit of condemnation. Where did he believe the lie? In the world? Many have come under the influence of spirits of fear, condemnation, shame, and guilt...  Through teachings in the Church. Such is profound, the monstrous deception of it is that such spirits masquerade as light, deceiving many. To enslave and to cause children to stumble is its goal, thus it controls and manipulates people. Now, anyone who is being manipulated, knows something is wrong, but when you introduce spirits which masquerade as light?

I have come into the world as a light, so that everyone who believes in me should not abide in darkness.*

Jesus came as a Light, giving us not a spirit of fear, but power, love, and He is working to renew our minds, not destroying trust, but building us up in all things good, teaching us, perfecting us through love. In this we find Life, being grounded in His great love for us, and that He is proving trustworthy and faithful. Do not follow false teachers who walk in darkness or you will fall in darkness with them.

But if walking in the light, as he is in the light, having fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, the one his Son, purifies us from all sin.^

What does it mean to have fellowship? Oneness, fellowship, unity of Spirit, bond of peace, faith active in love, truth in love, fruit of the Spirit, faith, love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness... Is not fellowship communion? "doesn't it exist as a sharing in the blood of Christ?"* We know we have been cleansed, washed by the blood of Jesus,. Those who Jesus wash are a part of Him, and we see Jesus washes the feet of the disciples. How can I say I have fellowship with Christ and not have fellowship with a brother? How can I falsely accuse my brother or if I have worldly goods turn my heart from his need? I walk in darkness,. If I say I do not sin, the truth is not in me. How do we walk in Light? We see we have spiritual forces of darkness against us, so we need to know the truth to seek it and to guard our hearts and minds from false teachers. And the doctrine that counts, is one insight of faith, as Paul writes, faith active in love.

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.*

The carnal mind is not subject to the things of God, thus how can one walk in the Light if the mind is hostile toward God? We see the answer in the prayer of Jesus, "sanctify them by the truth." One must hear or read the Word of Life, and must receive or come to the Light, behold, look upon the Light and must believe in Jesus. The one who looks and believes has Life and Light in him, being born from above. Only if we were made perfect, but we are left in the world as Jesus prayed we should be. He has left us in a world of darkness, in hope. Creation was subjected to futility "in hope, that creation itself would be set free from its bondage to decay into the glorious liberty." This is glorification, we are being transformed into the image of the Son, and this is a great testimony that people see this change saying what is different about you, why are you joyful, at peace in this world?  This glory of oneness and fellowship we have with the Son and the Father is the greatest glory to the Father, and in it is our glorification.

I glorified you on the earth, accomplishing the task that you gave me to do, and now, Father, glorify me with yourself, the glory I had with you, the place before the world began.*

Unity of Spirit, a bond of peace, unity of faith that is active in love, truth in love, these things are fruit of God and this is how we know we have fellowship with Him and one another. Jesus had a place before the world began, what was it? Such speaks of oneness, fellowship, and glory. Jesus is the Word, of Life, the glory of the Father. And what task did He accomplish? That through the Light, from the Father we would be enlightened, know the Father and the Son, and have everlasting Life.* This is the greatest glory the Father desires and this is how we know our joy is complete, such glory and fellowship with Father and one another. Jesus gives us the word of the Father, and it is truth, life, and Light to men, and the darkness of the world hates it. Jesus, the Truth, protected those who came to Him. He prays to the Father that they be left in the world and protected from the evil one. So the child of God, is born of Spirit, but left in this darkness. How will the Father protect them?

My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.*

We are protected from the evil one when we are sanctified in truth. You see the Light came among darkness and those who came to Him he sanctified and protected. And so it is with us, abiding in Him we are set free. Who created me? the One from the beginning, the Word of Life. For what purpose? that which was created would be set free from bondage. He ascended on high to take captivity captive. Captive to the darkness and corruption we are being set free and thus we help others to Liberty. So the One who created everything in the beginning, creates a new creation, like nothing else created. Even for those who were under the Law, they were slaves held captive. But those born a new are descendants of God, not slaves, but sons. God is not against these, he is not manipulating his children through the fear of punishment, though Satan will condemn us. Our heavenly Father is for us, perfecting us in love, working all things for our good, so that we are being transformed "into the glorious Liberty, the one, the descendants of God."*

I have written to you children because you know the Father, I have written to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I have written unto you, youth, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.*

So we are being transformed into the image of Christ, such is our glorification and foremost is the fellowship we have with the Father, Son. And we have fellowship with one another, best seen in our love, "By this all will know that you exist a follower of me, if you have love for each other."2 In darkness we remain, in it is His glory being known in our sanctification, when we exist or abide, we walk in Light, and we overcome the darkness. And we give glory to the Father, as they see Christ in us, not in our good works, but in His workmanship, who in darkness, are proclaiming Life and Light to men.

Blessed Are The Forgiven

Blessed! the one whose lawless deeds are forgiven and the one whose sins are covered over, blessed is the man whom sin, the Lord will not consider . * Paul writes David foresaw and spoke " blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered . *  Blessed, is the one whom sin is not considered, this word considered  means "to credit, count, reckon, to set down as a matter of account; regard, think, consider." This blessing comes through faith and according to grace, " also David speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God considers righteousness apart from works ." *  The word for  lawless deeds speaks of the violation of the Law and the word for sin  speaks of missing the mark of God's righteousness. Blessed are those who (by faith in Christ according to grace) have been forgiven. In Him receiving the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of trespasses according to the riches of His grace . * This fundamental ...

Spirit of Life

" Indeed, the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus liberates from the law of sin and death ." 1 This word for liberates "I free, set free, liberate" is from a root word meaning free, exempt, not bound by an obligation. As partakers of God's divine nature, being born of Spirit, we are no longer obligated to the sinful nature but to righteousness which is God's nature. When we believe we receive the Spirit of promise, a guarantee of our inheritance, a great testimony that we are His children, it is a Spirit of Life. " Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." 24 The Son came not to condemn the world but to save it. "One trespass   led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. " 6 " He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and wa...

All Who Are Thirsty

“ Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;  and he who has no money,  come, buy and eat!  Come, buy wine and milk  without money and without price.  Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,  and your labor for that which does not satisfy?  Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,  and delight yourselves in rich food. .." (Isaiah 55). " Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price ." Buy is defined as to acquire the ownership of by giving an accepted price or consideration therefore; to accept or believe as true .[ 1 ] When we buy something we consider the price that we must pay, we accept this and purchase the thing we have considered worthy of the sacrifice we make in payment. W e can not buy, with money or price, redemption from t his tragic flaw we are born into. However Jesus paid the price for us, so we buy or accept through consideration, the Greek word is  logizomai.[ 2] ...

The Tripartite Nature of Humanity: Spirit, Soul, and Body

The Tripartite Nature of Humanity: Spirit, Soul, and Body in Biblical Understanding The human being, as depicted in the Bible, is a multifaceted creation, often understood through the distinct yet interconnected components of spirit, soul, and body. While some theological perspectives lean towards a bipartite view (soul and body), which we do see in the Old Testament, a careful examination of the New Testament scripture reveals a compelling case for a tripartite understanding, where each is divided into or composed of three parts. Let’s explore the biblical distinction between spirit, soul, and body. The Body: Our Earthly Vessel The body is the physical form that interacts with the material world. From the very beginning, Genesis 2:7 states, " Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being ." This verse clearly establishes the body's origin from the earth, emphasizing its connec...

Lord, Stand By Me

"... present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness ." 1 This word for present means "I bring, present, come up to and stand by," it is parístēmi (from pará, "from close-beside" and hístēmi, "to stand") – properly, stand close beside, i.e. ready to present (exhibit). I pray Lord stand by me which expresses that I put my trust in Him, or I come up to and stand by Him. We use phrases like surrendering or bowing at the cross to explain such a moment, surely it is a coming to the end of ourselves and it is desirable that I find His will acceptable, but it is important to understand that it is about trust, not my will power, the key is that it is in Christ. The terminology the scriptures use is "present yourselves to God," or come up to and stand by and walk with Him. "... present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this...

Surrender and Giving Control in Christian Thought: Scriptural Roots, Modern Interpretations, and the Quest for Spiritual Maturity

Surrender and Giving Control in Christian Thought: Scriptural Roots, Modern Interpretations, and the Quest for Spiritual Maturity Introduction The theological concept of surrender—or giving control to God—occupies a prominent place in the modern Christian consciousness. From pulpits, in devotional material, songs, and across a multitude of Christian traditions, believers are often exhorted to “surrender their lives to Christ,” to “give up control." This is often expressed as a “come to the end of yourselves,” experience. These exhortations, frequently couched in emotive and urgent language, invite believers to a posture of yielding, releasing, and letting go. Yet, when this language is measured against the actual vocabulary, teachings, and emphases of the Greek New Testament, important questions emerge:  How biblically grounded are the concepts of “surrender” and “giving control”? Does such language reflect the spiritual vision of the earliest Christian church and scripture, or...

Freedom from the Mosaic Law: A Deep Theological Exploration of New Testament Teaching

Freedom from the Mosaic Law: A Deep Theological Exploration of New Testament Teaching Introduction: The Question of the Mosaic Law and Christian Identity One of the most significant theological debates and practical challenges for the early church was the place of the Mosaic Law in the life of believers in Jesus Christ. This question remains alive today, particularly in communities and churches that quote the Old Testament as if its legal prescriptions still directly obligate Christians. The apostolic writings, especially those of Paul, provide the primary lens through which the New Testament resolves this matter. Paul’s letters—rich in both theological reflection and ecclesiastical urgency—not only confront false teaching but chart the path of new covenant living by the Holy Spirit.  This essay seeks to offer a doctrinal synthesis on why believers are no longer “under the Mosaic Law,” supported by original-language insights, harmonized scripture references, and commentar...

Theological Comparison of the New Covenant of Grace and the Old Covenant of the Law

Theological Comparison of the New Covenant of Grace and the Old Covenant of the Law: A Detailed Study Rooted in Ephesians 2:11–22 Introduction The theme of covenant is central to the biblical narrative, shaping God’s relationship with humanity from creation through redemption. The new covenant is called by Paul a ministry of reconciliation, righteousness, and of the Spirit. The shift from the old Mosaic covenant—rooted in the Law given to Israel at Sinai—to the new covenant of grace established in Christ, fundamentally redefines how people approach God, community, and salvation. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, particularly 2:11–22, provides a remarkably clear and rich theological exposition of this transition, addressing not only the spiritual implications for Jews and Gentiles but also the very nature of the church as God’s new creation. This report develops an in-depth, paragraph-driven theological comparison between the old and new covenants, structured around nine key themes de...

Called According to His Purpose: A Biblical Examination

Called According to His Purpose: A Biblical Examination 📖 Introduction The phrase “called according to His purpose” appears in Romans 8:28 (ESV), a foundational verse that reads: “And we know that for those loved of God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” This statement gives comfort and more—it is a declaration about identity, destiny, and divine intent. To be “called according to His purpose” means participating in God’s sovereign, redemptive plan. God's plan is being manifested through the church through the "new covenant in his blood" as it was established by the death of Jesus. The calling is not arbitrary or based on human merit, but is rooted in God’s purpose, eternal will and love. 🔍 The Nature of the Calling In Scripture, God's calling is effectual—that is, it accomplishes what He intends. Paul writes: "...those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified,...
