Such Love

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit, in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.1

This salvation, this born again miracle of God, is produced by the word of God. This purification of the soul, this sanctification, comes through the word. This obedience to the truth comes through purification of the soul through the word of God. This Word purifies as it is living (alive), it is active (energized, at work), a double edged sword of spirit and truth, it penetrates (pierces) the division (separation) of soul (individual personality) and spirit.2 Jesus is this truth, this word, incorruptible seed. which lives and is abiding forever.

This purification of soul purifies the heart, its work is known by our love of one another. A pure heart loves, such love would lay down its life for another. For God so love the world that He sent his only son... Why did God send his son? was it to put forth his righteousness, his kingdom on earth, his glorification? Yes, these things are true but God sent his son out of love, For God so loved... Why did Jesus die on the cross? I love him because he first loved me. For love he died. Behold, what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called the children of God.3 The world doesn't know this love as it doesn't know him.

Such Agape Love was given by Christ, he took all manner of sin on himself, God made known the mystery of his will and his pleasure which he purposed in Christ.4 He even sensed this forsaking of the Father, he embraced it because of his love. The taking on of sin should have brought the wrath of God's righteousness upon us, but it did not. Why? His mercy triumphs judgement. Such Love like God changes the world. God provided a way through this amazing grace, such love triumphed over death, overcame sin, gives power that breaks all chains, that sets people free.

Because of such love, the sacrifice of Jesus, he was given all authority in heaven and on earth, He did it by humbling himself and through love. He was made the manager, administrator of the fullness, the sum of time, he would head up all things in heaven and on earth.5 God's Grace forgives our sin and brings us into a new covenant relationship with Him, through his blood, we must never forget such love nor forsake it in the name of God's righteousness.

Help us, oh Lord, Mighty Warrior, Mighty Savior, show us such love; delight over us with your gladness, quite us with your love, rejoice over us with singing.4
