Because He Lives

God sent His Son
They called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives

Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives

And then one day
I'll cross that river
I'll fight life's final war with pain
And then as death gives way to victory
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know he lives

This is the Gospel, the Good News! He dwelt among us, died for us, and rose again, living for us. Because He Lives forever, He has the official sanctioning or authority of the priesthood whereby He is saving completely those coming through Him to God, and He is living always pleading for the sake of them (Hebrews 7:24-25). Seek and you will find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened.  "Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord" (Jeremiah 29:11-14).
