Write Your Story

"Blessedmakarios are theho purekatharos inho heartkardia, forhoti theyautos will seehoraō ·ho Godtheos" (Matthew 5:8)

Who are the pure in heart who see God?  Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments should live by them (Romans 10:4-5). This is the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, and it had such glory that the Israelites could not even gaze at Moses' face because of the glory, so he veiled his face (1 Corinthians 3:7-10). Those who do not know grace, but are trying to find righteousness in the law have their minds hardened, the veil of the old covenant is not lifted (1 Corinthians 3:14-16). God has made known to them and revealed to them through his Son but they do not glorify him as God (Romans 1:18-19;21). To the Pharisees Jesus said, "How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart..."

Through Christ we are brought into a new covenant of grace and truth, making us a letter of Christ written not on tablets of stone but on hearts of flesh (1 Corinthians 3:3-6). And this glory in Christ, brought about by his death in the flesh and resurrection in the spirit, eternally surpasses the ministry of death and condemnation, v.9-11, even so that Jesus went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison; he suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God (2 Peter 3:18-19). This ministry of the spirit brings freedom, life, and much Glory as we are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another (1 Corinthians 8:17-18)Write Your Story.

It is God who promised, "I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh "(Ezekiel 36:26). It is with the heart one believes and is justified (Romans 10:10). It is "God's love that has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us" (Romans 5:5). It is our hearts that burn within as we read the word of God (Luke 24:32). It is on our hearts that God writes his word, "I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people" (Hebrews 8:10). Write Your Story, on our hearts.

"And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1:19-21).
