“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
"The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:55-57)."For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Christ became the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours alone but for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Propitiation means "the act of appeasing the wrath and conciliating the favor of the offended."[1] When we accept Christ, our sin is no longer counted against us (Romans 4:4-8). Christ paid the wage of sin, the cost was his death, in his death and in his resurrection we live. Death is swallowed up in victory, "we fight from victory" -- Mark McClelland.
"For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death" (1 Corinthians 15:22-26).
