Trust and Faith is so simplistic but often so difficult.
Jesus's mission and relationships with others were always at the forefront of His life. Because of a request by His mother, Jesus's first miracle turned water into wine and revealed His glory at a time when He was not yet ready. He did so to honor His mother, as she trusted He would provide (John 2:1-6). With exception to His divine purpose, everything else Jesus did He did in regards to peoples' trust in Him.
He did not give a definition of trust and faith because He knew people would see faith by what faith did. See, He is the author and perfecter of our faith. "He instills faith within us and from its exercise we Trust in Him more" -- Mark Johnson.
E M Bounds said, "It was the product of His work, His power, and His person. Trust is too simple for verbal definition. It is too sincere and spontaneous for theological terms. The very simplicity of trust is what astounds many people."
