In him exists life and that life exists a light to men (John 1:4) There was light that came into the world. He was born as a human, a baby in a manger. There came a man sent from God, he came to bear witness about the light, he was not the light rather he testified about the light, the true light that would enlighten all men, he was coming into the world. He came into the world, which he created, and the world did not know him. The light suddenly came upon them in darkness, and darkness could not understand or comprehend it. He came to his own but his own did not receive him. But to those who did receive him, he gave them the authority to be born into the kingdom of God, not of human birth nor desire but of God.
