Help To Believe

through this I tell you, all, as much praying and asking, believing because receiving and existing yours. (Mark 11:24) The word because ὅτι ( hoti ) is translated both as "that" and "because." Let's use this verse with both words. If we use "that" then we can take it to imply if you believe "that" you will receive what you ask for it will exist yours. If we use "because" we can take it to say that you believe because you asked and received. I propose the latter is just as truthful as the first. God does things, like answer our prayers in order to help us believe, to strengthen our faith.  and this is the boldness we have with him because  if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us, and if knowing because he hears us whatever asking we know because having the requests which we asked of him (1 John 5:14-15) We have boldness before God as his children, more so as we mature walking according to his will, thus asking accordin...

Blessed through Endurance

you have need of endurance then so that doing the will of God receiving that promised . (Hebrews 10:36) The writer to the Hebrews tells them to remember their former days when they had weathered difficult struggles, suffering, were made into public spectacles, insulted and persecuted, suffered in prison, and with joy accepted the confiscation of their belongings knowing they had a better and lasting possession (Hebrews 10:32-35). They had been suffering for a long time and were becoming disheartened, and Paul writes they were in need of endurance. Long-suffering is more difficult to endure. They needed the endurance to do the will of God and by doing the will of God they would receive that promised. Endurance is key to doing the will of God. consider it joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials knowing that the proving of your faith works endurance and having endurance having its intended maturity, so that existing mature and whole, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4) The tria...

Faith's Foundation

now, faith exists a foundation; hope, proof, things done not seen (Hebrews 11:1) This verse is usually translated as something like "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" or "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." I have often used a more literal translation of "faith exists; assurance, hope, proof, things not seen.” Lets look at the word often translated as assurance and confidence (ὑπόστασις, ( hypostasis ). Thayer's Greek Lexicon gives it the meanings "a setting or placing under; thing put under, substructure, foundation; that which has foundation is firm; that which has actual existence; a substance; the substantial-quality, nature; steadiness of mind, firmness, courage resolution; confidence, firm trust, assurance. It is from ὑπό (hupó, “down, under”) + στάσις (stásis, “standing”). The idea is that faith exists a foundation, something to stand on, evidence, substanc...

The Fullness of God

that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-19) Filled to the fullness of God, there can be no other important thing the church needs to understand. Let’s read more about this starting in Ephesians 1:17, Paul is praying “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, (the reality is in Christ) having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might (which in the Greek is referring to rule, dominion) that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one ...

Blessed To Be Loved

See what g toreat love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!.. (1 John 3:1) We are blessed to have a heavenly Father who loves us. This is why God sent His Son that we might be blessed in him. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the one blessing us in all spiritual blessings in the heavenlies in Christ..." (Ephesians 1:3). God chose us, in love (Ephesians 1:4). He predestined us for adoption in Christ, in love, sealed with the Spirit as a guarantee of our inheritance as sons, "the Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children” (Romans 8:15-16). We experience this love as the Spirit pours out God's love into our hearts. We are blessed to be loved, "what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" "to the extent of the praise of His glory, the grace which he highly favored us in the Beloved" (Ephesians 1:6)...

Bound Forever To The Love of God

who can separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? as it is written 'for your sake we face death all day, regarded as sheep to be slaughtered' but in all this, we are winning a most glorious victory through him who loved us. (Romans 8:35-37) Nothing is powerful enough to separate us from the love of Christ (Romans 8:38-39). The word separate means to separate, divide and is used as"I separate, put apart, (b) mid. or pass: I separate myself, depart, withdraw." Agape love never fails, it never ends This is such an amazing thing, as we are bound forever to the love of God in Christ.  We do not want to fail, fall away, or turn back, we do not want to be divided or separated from God. And Paul states nothing can separate us from the love of God. I take this to include myself because God is faithful (2 Timothy 2:13;1 John 1:9; 2 Thessalonians 3:3...). He is faithful to those who are called i...
