Be True

Now the one joined to the Lord is one spirit . * This word for joined means to join, associate with, cling to; (pass.) to be united. Jesus is the Truth and the Spirit is of truth so to be joined in Spirit is to be joined in truth. The concept of being united in Spirit exists because in Christ we are born of Spirit, we exist a new creation, co-heirs with Christ, joined together with Him in Spirit. And we exist the temple of the Holy Spirit, as we exist of Spirit. As partakers of God's divine nature we are indebted to righteousness not to the sinful nature we once existed. In comparison, as the old covenant temple existed on a corrupt earth so we exist a temple of God in a corrupt body. It is not I who died and was crucified with Christ, it was the old man that died and it is I the new man being raised into newness of Life, therefore I exist a new creation joined, united in Spirit. To know your identity in Christ is to live to your true self, to be true. Not knowing that your b...

Growing Up Unto Salvation

like as, just born children, desire milk, pure, reasonable so that in it you grow up to the extent of salvation . * The word reasonable here is often translated as spiritual but these exist two words and reasonable speaks more of our logical, reasonable service. We can say this is to grow us up unto our salvation, which is accomplished through desiring food that causes us to grow up. It is important to know what grows us up, so we do not want to stunt growth. Paul is not saying spiritual milk grows us up, but he is giving a comparison; like a new born baby desires milk, desire food which grows you up. This word grow up  means to cause to grow; (intr.) grow, increase. So the question becomes what are we to desire that is pure, reasonable that grows us up unto salvation? Let us look at what is " pure, reasonable so that in it you grow up to the extent of salvation ." * ... work out your salvation with fear and trembling. * Like the concept of working out your sa...

How To Save Your Soul

Therefore put aside all moral dirtiness and all around moral badness and receive in gentle force the implanted word, the one powerful to save your souls . * Now, I do not write about salvation in regards to eternal redemption, go here for more information about this. I speak of the salvation of your soul, for this is the goal of faith, " obtaining the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls . *  So put aside evil which wars against the soul. The word here for  moral dirtiness  speaks of purification of the body, something only a believer would benefit from. All around moral badness speaks of malice which is a desire to do evil in regards to ill will, spitefulness; animosity, hate, hatred; bitterness. *  In context of Jesus saying do not be anxious about anything he references this type of evil that afflicts the soul, "... sufficient is the day its own moral badness." * In regards to this kind of morality if we live in it we are burdened as any sin ...

Salvation Of Your Soul

obtaining the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls . * We receive eternal redemption in Christ, and we are born of Spirit entering into the kingdom of heaven, in which we have guarantee of inheritance. The soul is not the same as the Spirit, the soul refers to life, soul; heart, mind; a person. A living soul is that of flesh and blood, and in the blood is life, but this life of flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of God, one must be born of Spirit. God breathed life into Adam, thus he became a living soul. Adam was a living soul but Christ came as a life giving Spirit. *  Christ is the first born, the first fruit of a new creation, and in the new covenant in His blood, we are born of Spirit, something new that did not exist before. First we are born of flesh, a living soul, and in Christ we are born of Spirit, partaking of God's divine nature. When we believed in Jesus we entered into the kingdom of heaven being born of Spirit. When we separate the soul from t...

No Matter What

Telling you truth. The truth; the one who hears my message and believes the one sending me possesses eternal life and will not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life . * The words of Jesus exist eternal Life, as John writes Life was revealed through the Word, Jesus. Jesus said, “ it stands written, man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God .” * Paul writes there is no better way for God to establish a will than by his Word and it takes a death to make a will effective thus a new covenant we have in His word, and in his blood. As Jeremiah said His word is like a fire, and a hammer that breaks rocks. As prophesied his Word has been established above His name. John writes this Word of Life, who has been proclaimed to us as  Eternal Life, has been revealed to man and if we have fellowship in the Word of Life, we have eternal Life, and fellowship with the Father and the Son, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from a...

His Good Work

I myself am persuaded that he beginning a good work in you, carries it out to completion until the day, Christ Jesus . * We thank the Lord of this promise, that He began a good work in us and will carry it out to completion. We being His workmanship he will not put us aside, "the LORD will fulfill His purpose in me. O LORD, Your loving devotion endures forever—do not abandon the works of Your hands." *  In regards to this, a day is like a thousand years, and He is not slow as some would regard slowness, but is patient not willing that any be lost. *  There is more joy in heaven over one that was lost and is now found, the sheep of his pasture. We are the workmanship of His hands created beforehand for good works. " Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture ." *  Therefore " I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me ." * And we know that all things work tog...

In His Mighty Power

Now the one powerful doing abundantly above all what asked or imagined, accordingly the power the one working in us, to Him the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus to the extent of all generations, that forever, the one forever! amen . * From this word for powerful  we get the English word dynamite. Jesus began to denounce the towns he had done powerful works in because they did not repent. *  The nation God had called and set apart, had turned cold with calloused hearts. But the Father was pleased to hide the things of God from the wise, revealing them to little children. God gives power according to ability. *  Abraham took in hand power becoming a father, even though Sarah was barren, he believed God who promised him a son. *  God empowers and strengthens according to his mighty power. He did not turn back in unbelief regarding the promise of God, however empowered in faith , delivering glory to God . * Abraham was  empowered  in faith, which ...

Sanctified in Christ

Now when this priest brought a single sacrifice for sin , to the extent of the time, to be seated at the right-hand of God, the one remaining until the very adversary placed a footstool for his feet, now, one offering perfected to the extent of the time the one sanctified . * God did not desire a sacrifice nor an offering, but he desired a body prepared. *  Therefore Jesus "brought a single sacrifice" that his body, his flesh, given on behalf of the world, a body prepared, a body without sin, as a sacrifice for sin for all time, a spotless Lamb of God. He was perfect, in that he was holy, consecrated, and by his perfection he was an acceptable sacrifice to God. Jesus prepared his body consecrated, holy, sanctified, a perfect offering placed before God and by such He perfects the one sanctified. Now, one offering perfected to the extent of the time the one sanctified . * To be  perfected  means to complete, finish; (pass.) to reach a goal, be fulfilled, compl...

Enduring Suffering

For this is commendable, if through consciousness of God, someone endures pains, suffering unjust. * It is one thing to suffer because of sin, it is another to suffer with a good conscious toward God. " For what good report if sinning and punished, you endure? But if when doing good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God. " *  There are consequences for sin, surely, the "good" people of the world live to such principles. There exists a law of reaping and sowing that even the world calls things like karma. But our mindset should be about identity, in that we are becoming like Christ, not living to principles but in becoming our true self. In regards to sin, we should say, I will not sin because it is not who I am. I could live my life thinking of whether my actions have good or bad consequences but I choose to live my life in regards to whether it is according to my true nature. I am a child of God, a partaker of His divine nat...
