Love Fulfilled Ministry

My Father is glorified in this; the one that bears much fruit and becomes my disciple. As the Father loved me, having also loved you, abide in that my love, if one keeps my commandments this one abides in my love, just as I keep that my Father's commandments and abide in His love. This speaking to you that my joy exists in you, and that your joy is full. This is my commandment; that you love one another, as I love you . * That which is the joy of Jesus exists in you, if you have become His disciple. A true disciple abides in His words, knowing the truth he is set free. Paul writes faith is active in love, and it is truth in love that we are growing into the full measure of Him. And we see joy comes in this fullness. I tell you the truth, unless changed and becoming like a child, no one enters the kingdom of heaven . * This word for change is often translated as a turning from sin, repenting... but in context and with other related scriptures we see it has much more meaning as "change of substance." The truth is we don't do the changing. The "change of substance" occurs when "becoming like a child," and the word becoming means "to be, become, happen; to come into existence, be born." Such a change speaks of a new creation in Christ, so this is the meaning of "changed and becoming like a child." Jesus said, " I tell you the certain truth, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of flesh is flesh but what is born of Spirit is Spirit. Earnestly desire the greater gifts , but now I will show you a way beyond comparison . * If we read on we will find out what is the way beyond comparison. Out of all the gifts there is one that is the greatest, the way beyond comparison. This gift surpasses our human understanding but it is something within reach, " that able, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth both knowing the love of Christ surpassing knowledge, and that being filled to all the fullness of God ." *  There is a gift of  Agape love , which speaks of devotion, of an active love associated with true relationship, which often requires sacrifice. Foremost, we love God because He first loved us, we experience this love. God loves and favors not based upon merit but according to grace. He is devoted to us in love and desires that we be devoted to Him in love. God is love and the greatest gift he gives man and the greatest way, a way beyond comparison , is agape love. ...

Calling a child, placing him in their midst, and saying, 'I tell you the truth unless converted and becoming like this child, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven... ' * Jesus said to enter the kingdom of heaven one must be born of Spirit, thus converted and becoming like a child. It is an amazing picture of adoption, the Spirit testifying that we are His children, we receive a Spirit of Adoption whereby we cry out Daddy Father! Now, to the orphaned child, who has not had an earthly father and family, to be adopted is an amazing thing. Of course it should be amazing to any child of God, that we have been chosen by grace to receive such an inheritance. by grace you have been saved and raised up and seated together in the heavenlies in Christ, so to demonstrate in the ages, the coming upon, the surpassing riches of His grace, in His kindness to us in Christ . * How were we saved? by grace.
