Heart Reign

" Deceitful is the heart above all, incurable, this who know, Yahweh searches the heart, testing the reign, giving man fruit of his deeds." 1 This word for reign,   kilyah ,  means "kidney," it speaks of a most vital organ, of gut feeling, instinct, of emotion. "For you have possessed the reign, you have covered my mother's womb." 2   Interestingly it is not the heart, but the kidney that is the reign, as gut feelings comes from deeper within . The heart is incurable, some translations say desperately wicked but this word anash means "incurable" to be weak, sick. God searches the heart and tests the reign, such implies there is a reign of the heart. This word reign is derived from   keli ,  " instruments " from kalah " to be complete, finished, accomplished, consumed " i.e. " Finished were the heavens and the earth and all their vast array ." 3 Negatively, it speaks of accomplished, fulfilled, of purpose wr...

There Is Power

" Finally, be empowered in the Lord and in the strength of his might ." 1 First we note finally, from now on, henceforth which says you have been established, now be empowered . This word for empowered, is endunamoó, (from en "in," and dynamóō, "sharing power-ability") properly, to impart ability(make able); empowered. This word for strength is kratos , from a root meaning "to perfect, complete." So be perfected, completed in strength from the might of the power within.  Such speaks of inward transformation, of salvation working its way out. One doesn't put on the armor of God in spoiled clothes nor does he naked. Before one can walk in power, before one puts on armor one must put on new garments. Now that you are established, Finally be empowered... " I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. A...

Flies In The Ointment

" Dead flies pours forth foul oil in the perfume of wisdom, so does honorable reputation a little folly ." 1 A wise man that acts foolishly, surely, he damages his reputation but in context we see that the difference between a wise and a foolish man is a wise man's heart directs him toward the right but the heart of a fool directs to the left. " Even when the fool walks along the road, his sense is lacking and he demonstrates to everyone that he is a fool ."2 So the perfume is like the reputation of a wise man and the fly makes stinky the reputation of the wise. Say you become a seller on Amazon, now the majority of people are honest and will not cheat you but what about the ones who do? those who buy things, use them once only to return it or they break it and say it arrived that way. What do you do? well I can't let people run over me, I will be seen as weak, and they should be held accountable, right? " Never yourselves avenging beloved but gi...

Movers Of The Kingdom

"Therefore having gone, disciple all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." 5 This word for having gone is poreuomai, (from poros, "passageway") – properly, to transport, moving something from one destination to another, (figuratively) to go forth, depart, walk. Having been moved, passageway, continue the journey by moving others. 6 Now, if I just go and plant some seed then leave, even if the birds do not snatch it away and the weeds do not choke it out, what does the seed I plant look like in a few years? and if everyone is just sowing seed what will the Church of Christ look like? Having moved from one place to another, now go and move others, be a mover of the Kingdom. " I say to this one go and he goes ..." Jesus marveled over the faith of this soldier. Such a position of authority is earned, he is dedicated to moving, training his soldiers, he knows that for the kingdom to succeed ...

Witness of Old

" When your sons in times to come ask, what is the testimony of the statues and the judgments that Yahweh had commanded? Then you shall say to your son ," 1 God gives the witness of the Mosaic covenant. This word for testimony  speaks to laws as divine testimonies or solemn charges or witness. The statues are a prescribed action, enactment, decree, ordinance, conditions of deed of purchase. The judgments speaks of justice or the act of deciding a case; process, procedure, litigation before judges: sentence, decision of judgment: execution of judgment. The statues are the requirements of God's righteousness, the judgment is consequences of not meeting them and the witness speaks to such. Moses had authority to judge and dispense the statues of God. Lets look at the witness or testimony of the Law. "Then you shall say to your son, ‘We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt, and Yahweh brought us from Egypt with a mighty hand ..." 3   Great Wonders and Signs of affli...

Made New

" Not by works in righteousness that we practice, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of the new beginning, and renewing of the Holy Spirit ." 4 Here we see a washing and a renewing. This washing occurred at a new beginning, a renewing of the Spirit. This word for new beginning is paliggenesia, (from pálin, "again" and génesis, "beginning, birth") properly, the coming of new birth because "born again"; regeneration . Now in the beginning is Genesis which is derived from, ginomai, "birth."   This word for renewing is the same used when speaking of metamorphosis , a completing of the new birth process, transformation, such genesis begins within. " ... however, metamorphosed the renewing of the mind to prove by you what is the will of God, good and acceptable and perfect ." 1   This word for  renewing is ana-kainósis , "again new" (from aná, "up,  again " which intensifies kain...

Grace Power

" Three times I begged the Lord that it might depart from me and He said to me, suffices you the grace of me, indeed power in weakness is perfected ." 1 This word for suffices is  arkeó ,   " suffice. " But what does suffice mean? It is often translated as sufficient,   " My grace is sufficient for you. " But we see a difference in the words which John the Baptist used when he said to Jesus, " I am not sufficient to carry your sandals ." This word for sufficient is  hikanós  (derived from hikō, "arrive, come to") properly to come, to be worthy of, fit. Grace that suffices speaks not of being fit or worthy but of supplying aid in our weakness. Grace aids you, as power is perfecting in weakness. We could say that grace is worthy or fitting, but does it help us understand the how grace suffices us, how we have power in weakness? Suffice is also translated as "to be content" We should be content, as God promises to meet our eve...

God Hung the Stars

" To him who hung the great lights, f or His Grace is everlasting,  the sun to rule by day, f or His Grace is everlasting , and the moon and the stars to rule by night, f or His Grace is everlasting ... Give grace to the God of heaven, for His Grace is everlasting ." 1 God hung the stars, " he appointed the number of stars and to all by name he calls ." 2  His promise to Abraham, " I will make numerous your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands and will be blessed in your offspring all the nations of the earth ." 3  As the stars in the skies. Scientists estimate there are over 100 billion stars. Is this what its means that  by name he calls  the stars, that one has my name? Do we need the stars? we have the sun for day and the moon for night, so why did God make the stars? In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was...

Open Our Eyes

" My Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day ." 1 This is the will of the Father to look to the Son for life, Jesus is the only way to the Father. " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me ." 2  Jesus is the food and drink that came from heaven, food is his flesh, drink is his blood. " For my flesh is food and my blood is drink indeed ." 3  Surely we must eat of this food for eternal life, but this flesh and blood is not earthly food, no, it is eating of heavenly food, the tree of life and living water. The sword of God is the Word of God. In the beginning was the Word of God, who was with God and was God, who spoke everything into existence, let there be Light and there was Light. The Word became flesh and dwelt among man, he was the Light and life of men. In the beginning when Adam sinned and God put the f...
