Transferred Into The Kingdom of God

For he has delivered us from the authority of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his loved Son, (Colossians 1:13) The word transferred means to cause a change of position; to remove, transport; to transfer; met. to cause to change sides. The word delivered puts emphasis on what kind of transfer occurred; meaning to drag out of danger, to rescue, save; to be rescued, delivered. We were delivered, rescued, saved, in this way God manifests his love toward us that we are called children, exist His own, transferred into the kingdom of God. it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God (Matthew 9:24) I've heard there is a gate called the eye of the needle, and it was hard for a camel to enter there. In this verse I believe Jesus is speaking literally. The reason is the disciples were astounded by what he said, asking "who then can be saved?" and because of Jesus' reply "with man this ...

The Hope of Our Calling

I pray that the eyes of your heart be enlightened, you know the hope that he called you, (Ephesians 1:18) Be enlightened, know experientially the hope to which you were called, Paul prays. It has always interested me how Paul puts called to hope in this group of things that are one; one body, one Spirit, (just as also called in one hope of your calling), one Lord, one Faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, (Ephesians 4:4). He could have said one hope, but he doesn't. We are called in one hope of our calling. May God grant you and me to know the one hope of our calling. for this reason holy brothers, you who share in the heavenly calling, consider that the apostle and high priest of whom our confession speaks, Jesus (Hebrews 3:1). Holy brethern who share in a heavenly calling. God is in heaven and he is holy. If we have a heavenly calling we are called to holiness. "The one saving us and calling us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpo...

God Is Faithful

Have you ever thought about this, how God is faithful? We hear and read that we must have faith to be please God, why? Is it is because all he does is faithful? Think about this. All God does is faithful therefore faith is his essence, his character, who he is. To please him is to be like him, faithful.   now, faith exists assurance, hope, and conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1) " Assurance  means “confidence, trust, being sure; being, essence” it is a standing under, a taking of a thing upon one’s self; an assumed position...  Conviction  here is defined as a trial in order to prove; a certain persuasion. This fits with the root word of faith and the idea of  faith  being a firm persuasion, and it is the concept of approving and re...
