Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. .. (Ephesians 1:3-13) Have you ever blessed God? The word for blessed εὐλογητός ( eulogētos ) means worthy of praise or blessing, blessed. God is blessed forever, Paul writes (Romans 9:5; 2 Corinthians 11:31). We bless God for what we have received in Christ, because he has blessed us. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all encouragement," (2 Corinthians 1:3). "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy gave us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead," (1 Peter 1:3). And this is the will of the one sending me, that all who he gives me I will lose none but raise them up in the last day - John 6:39 We know when Jesus says this he is refering to the eleven disciples, that he would lose none, except the one who was destined for such, so that the scriptures might be fulfiled (John 13:11; John 17:12). But he also prays "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one.." John 1 7:20-21). To me, this makes this amazing scripture, that all believers are inclusive of this truth. Which speaks of several things, one of being chosen, of an election, "all that the Father gives me will come and the one coming to me I will never turn away" (John 6:37). It also speaks that no one can come to Father but through him, he is the only way, he is the gate (John 10:7; John 10: 9-10; John 10:7, 9-10).
