Under Grace

for that the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth come through Jesus Christ. * We are not under the Mosaic Law we are under Grace. Our salvation rests not in works of the Law, “for by grace through faith you exist saved…”* The law of faith states we are justified freely apart from works of the Mosaic Law. What came first grace or faith? can we separate grace and faith? are we saved by faith only and not by grace? What does it mean to be under grace? And for what purpose is grace to us? Let us look at the scriptures concerning grace. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld the one his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. * Well says the man, I do not believe in grace, it is just being used as an access to sin. If Jesus came in the fullness of grace and truth and salvation rests on grace then how can one believe in Jesus if he doesn't believe in grace? Is such a person  saved? If faith comes through hearing the...

Humble Yourselves

Now, giving great grace also the scriptures say God is against appointing the proud, yea, he gives grace to the humble. Therefore place yourselves under the one God, stand against the devil and he flees from you. Come near to God also he comes near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinner, and purify your hearts you double-minded. * God is against appointing the proud. This the word for “against appointing” is ἀντιτάσσω (antitassō) and is usually translated as opposed, it is from anti and tasso.  Anti – Christ means against, opposite, instead of.  Tasso  means to arrange, appoint, place, ordain. God is against ordaining the proud. So He gives grace to the humble therefore grace and humility is a characteristic of those appointed, ordained by God. A sign of a proud heart is one who lords, one who places himself in the authority and the position of Christ.  Jesus said do not lord over as the rulers of the world, but the greatest in the kingdom of God is a servant of a...

On To Perfection

knowing that the proving of your faith produces endurance, having worked its end goal; that you exist perfected and complete, lacking in nothing. * Here today we will look at the writings of James in its Greek words, comprehending his writing in a new light. We will focus on the concept of perfection; perfect will, perfect love. and the perfect law of God. We fix our eyes on Jesus, on to perfection we run, our end goal the crown of life. knowing that the proving of your faith produces endurance... The word proving is often translated as a trial δοκίμιον ( dokimion ) meaning in a  positive way a trial or tests and in a negative way temptation. James clarifies God cannot be tempted with evil nor does he tempt us, he can't do evil so he doesn't do evil so that good comes of it, it is not his nature. Temptation comes by evil as we are led away by the desires of our flesh, this is how evil wars against the carnal mind to bring into captivity, and when conceived in the heart ...

To Demonstrate His Kindness

so as to demonstrate, in the ages to come, the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness to us in Christ Jesus, for by grace exist saved through fait h. * The word χάρις ( charis ) is defined as grace, kindness. The word χρηστότης ( chrēstotēs ) is defined as goodness, kindness, gentleness; it is derived from ( xrēstós )   which is defined as serviceable, good. The word  surpassing  ὑπερβάλλω ( hyperballō ) is from two words “beyond, above” and “throw, place.” God demonstrates to us from the riches of his grace his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.  Grace  is defined as unmerited favor, but it has much more meaning. Grace in the old testament is best seen in the word  checed , and I believe loving-kindness  best describes grace in the new. Let us look at how through grace God demonstrates his kindness toward us. to the praise of his glory,  the grace in which he favored us in the beloved. * This verse is often translated as “to the...

since you have purified your souls in compliant to the truth as far as genuine brotherly love, agape loving one another earnestly from a pure heart, being brought forth not of perishable seed, but of imperishable through the living and abiding word of God . * It is the truth that the word of God exists Jesus, as John writes he is the Word of Life, Eternal Life. *  Peter confesses His words exist Eternal Life and he is the Holy One from God. *  Jesus said "the one feeding on my flesh and drinking my blood possesses eternal life, accordingly I will raise him up..." *  The word of God became flesh, the living bread from heaven, and this bread, his words, give eternal life. The one who eats his words is the one brought forth, born of imperishable seed, and the one who continues to feed on his words is the one growing up into salvation. but you are a chosen offspring, a royal priesthood, a holy people, a body of his own possession, so that you may declare the graciou...
