Prophesy from the Lord

Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the Lord. 1 Therefore, this is what the Lord says to these shepherds: “ Instead of caring for my flock and leading them to safety, you have deserted them and driven them to destruction. Now I will pour out judgment on you for the evil you have done to them. My heart is broken because of you false prophets, my bones tremble, I stagger like a drunkard overcome with wine, because of these holy words God has spoken against you. The land lies under a curse, full of adultery, with leaders who abuse the power they have. They are ungodly people, I have seen their acts and deeds in my house. Their wisdom is like the serpent, therefore, their path will become slippery. They will be chased and disaster will befall them at the appointed time. Look at the prophets of other gods! They are terribly evil and lead people astray but now my leaders have become even worse, they commit adultery and love lies, thus they...

Righteous Requirement

For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as a sin offering, condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but the spirit . 1 This word for righteous requirement is dikaióma , it means a thing pronounced to be just, righteous . It is derived from dikaioó which means approved, especially in a legal, authoritative sense; to show what is right, i.e. conformed to a proper standard . The believer is made right, Justified, by God, he is cleared of all charges and its related punishment. Sealed with the spirit of God as a guarantee of the inheritance, he is made a joint heir with Christ, a son of God. The righteous requirements of God were met by Jesus Christ. If I go back to the law for this justification, I sever myself from Christ, as He alone has satisfied the righteous requirement of t...

Organizational Discipline

It is necessary, for the overseer  to be blameless as God's steward , not self-willed , not quick tempered , not given to wine , not a striker , not greedy of base gain . 1 A leader is to be blameless at being an overseer. This word is epískopos (derived from epí, "on/fitting contact," which intensifies skopós, "look intently," like at an end-marker concluding a race).  Though it has been regarded traditionally as a position of authority, in reality the focus is upon the responsibility for caring for others. 2   The primary jobs of a leader is to accomplish the mission and to look out for the welfare of the people; this is household management at it lowest level. The mission here is that I build up my family, teaching them in the ways of God, if I do the promise of God is that my family will not depart from it. 3    Discipline is an important part of any organization. There are principles to adhere to when disciplining. If I bring in new sta...

Breastplate of Righteousness

Since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation . 1 We are to put on the breastplate of faith and love, Paul elsewhere writes this is the breastplate of righteousness. 2 And we are to put on this hope of salvation. This amazing grace and gospel of good news, this my hope has been placed in, His name is Jesus. Now I want to be like my Father. We become imitators of our Father, as beloved children, putting on His righteousness, of faith and love. We are to walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), to discern what is pleasing to the Lord . 3  We are not to be a part of darkness, and are to expose the darkness to light. We are to walk as life, not death, not to be sleepers or those who are at sleep or ignoring the debauchery (excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures) that goes on in darkness.   But when anything is exposed by the ligh...
