Kingdom of Heaven

Let her be coming, the kingdom of you, let it being become, the will of you as in heaven also on the earth  ( Matthew 6:10 ). Jesus walked among the religious leaders of his day and warned the people not to do as they do. " For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven " (Matthew 5:21). The Pharisees were self-righteous, they followed the rules, every 903 they had established. They had become good at following rules but in their hearts were all kinds of uncleanliness. Jesus points them back to their hearts; if you hate your brother or sister then you are in judgement and have committed murder, if you lust after a woman in your heart then you have commited adultery. He then tells them how to be perfect as the Father, " that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the u...

Abide In Him

" One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple " (Psalm 27:4). David wanted very much to build the temple of God for the Israelites, but God had that planned for Solomon (1 Chronicles 17:11). Until then the Ark, in which dwelt the presence of the Lord, was to be put in a tent (1 Chronicles 15:1). David commissioned the Levites to carry the Ark while singing praises to God to it's new place, in the city of David. Along the way the daughter of Saul witnessed David dancing by the Ark, in which dwelt the presence of God, she despised him in her heart (1 Chronicles 15:29). When the Ark was placed in it's new home, David assigned Levites to worship before the Lord continually (1 Chronicles 6:31-32 ;1 Chronicles 15:15-16; 16:39-40). " So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands " (Psalm 63:4...

My Sheep Follow Me

“ Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers ”  ( John 10 ). Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things he spoke to them. So He spoke to them again, " I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have lif...

The Bright and Morning Star

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star.  And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely ” ( Revelation 22:16-17 ). Someone in my congregation printed and posted signs on a door into the building. He meant to say "do no not let Satan in the building" but he left out a letter and it read "Don't let Stan in the building." It did bring up the question; how would we know if Satan or his children were in the building? In the book Art of War,  by Sun Tzu, it is written that victory comes when we know ourselves and our enemy. This sound strategic advice proven throughout the centuries is good for Christians, victory comes as we know our identity in Christ and as we know our enemy. The Bible tells us that we have three enemies and Satan is one. ...

Write Your Story

"Blessed makarios   are   the ho   pure katharos   in ho   heart kardia ,   for hoti   they autos   will   see horaō   · ho   God theos " ( Matthew 5:8 ) Who are the pure in heart who see God?   Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that  the person who does the commandments should live by them (Romans 10:4-5). This is the ministry of death,  carved in letters on stone, and it had  such glory  that the Israelites could not even gaze at Moses' face because of the glory, so he veiled his face (1 Corinthians 3:7-10). Those who do not know grace, but are trying to find righteousness in the law have their minds hardened, the veil of the old covenant is not lifted ( 1 Corinthians 3: 14-16 ). God has made known to them and revealed to them through his Son but they do not glorify him as God ( Romans 1:18-19;21 ). To the Pharisees Jesus s...

Your Grace Shines On Me

" I was lost when ya found me here You pulled me close and held me near And I'm a fool but still you love I'll be your fool for the king of love He gave me wings so I could fly And gave me a song to color the sky And all I have is all from You And all I want is all of You It's grace, your grace I'm nothing without You Your Grace, Your Grace Shines on me And there've been days when I've walked away Too much to carry, nothing left to say Forgive me Lord when I'm weak and lost You traded heaven for a wooden cross And all these years You've carried me You've been my eyes when I could not see And beauty grows in the driving rain Your oil of gladness in the times of pain Your grace, Your grace I'm nothing without You Your Grace, Your Grace Shines on me Shines on me, shines on me Your Grace Shines on me Shines on me, shines on me It's Your grace"  Grace - Michael W.
