The Gospel Preached Beforehand

The Gospel Preached Beforehand Faith exists hope, assurance, and proof of things not seen. *  In the Old Testament and New we see that faith guides the children of the promise. *  A profound truth Paul states in Galatians 3:8, " And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, 'In you shall all the nations be blessed. '"  The promise " In you shall all the nations be blessed " was given to Abraham before circumcision and the Law thus does not rest on earthly birth and lineage, nor the Mosaic Law, but is according to grace so that it comes to people of all nations (Romans 4:15-16). In the Old Testament the chosen people were of earthly descendants, of Israel, but even then Paul writes not all were of the children of the promise, some were unbelievers as they were destined to be. *    "the ones from belief, are blessed together with Abraham, of faith" -- Galatians 5:19 In t...

The Gospel of the Grace of God

The Gospel of the Grace of God But I make my life nothing, a message precious than myself which I fulfill, that my task and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24) The Gospel of the Grace of God is a central theme in Christian theology. It is the gospel or good news of the gifts that come from the riches of God's grace in Christ. It is the good news of adoption as his own through the Spirit "to the praise of his glorious grace which he highly favored us in the Beloved" (Ephesians 1:5-6). It is the good news of redemption through the blood of Jesus "according to the riches of his grace," Ephesians 1:7, the forgiveness of sin. From the riches of God's grace in Christ Jesus we receive all the spiritual blessings from the heavenlies (Ephesians 1:3-14).  The gospel message is that salvation is a gift from God, freely given by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, rather than something from hum...

The New Living Way

The New Living Way "... Now, at the present released from the Law, having died in that which held us captive, so that we serve in newness of Spirit and not the old written code " -- Romans 7:16 Paul states that we are now united to Christ in his death and also raised with him into newness of life. What held them captive was sin but also the Law, it was a guardian until the appointed time God would send a Messiah (see School Master ). Paul uses the metaphor of marriage to describe how we are released from the Law; like a wife whose husband dies, now she is released from the Law and can marry another, so also have we died with Christ and are released from the Law and bound to Christ in a new covenant. The purpose of this is that we live in a new living way of the Spirit and not fleshly through the old written code or Mosaic Law. " So then brothers, you also have died to the Law through the body of Christ to the extent you exist by creation of another, the one raising you f...

Eternal Security in Christ: The Church as the Bride of Christ

Eternal Security in Christ: The Church as the Bride of Christ The eternal security of believers in Christ is one of the most comforting truths of the Christian faith. Scripture assures us that once we are united with Christ through faith, we are held securely in His love and grace, never to be separated. This security is beautifully illustrated in the biblical analogy of the Church as the Bride of Christ—a relationship akin to a marriage covenant, binding the Church to Christ forever. Eternal Security in Christ The doctrine of eternal security, which teaches that individuals who have truly accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are guaranteed eternal salvation, regardless of their future actions or sins, is a core tenet within certain Protestant denominations. It is rooted in the promises of God’s faithfulness and the sufficiency of Christ’s sacrifice. Jesus Himself affirms this truth in John 10:28-29 , saying: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no on...

The Incomprehensible Work of God

The Incomprehensible Work of God Throughout history, humanity has sought to understand the vastness of God's work—the intricate design of the universe, the mysteries of life, and the purpose behind creation. Yet, despite our greatest efforts, the Bible reminds us that God's ways are beyond human comprehension. His wisdom, power, and sovereignty surpass our understanding. God's Ways Are Higher Than Ours The prophet Isaiah declares this about god: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” — Isaiah 55:8-9 This passage emphasizes the vast difference between human reasoning and divine wisdom. The String theory estimates there are 10^500 or more universes. But even the number of universes is limited to what we can actually observe or distinguish and our ability to perceive them or the amount of information we can pr...
