The Righteous From Faith Live

For in it [the gospel] God's righteousness is revealed from faith to faith (Romans 1:16-18) God's righteousness is revealed from faith. The gospel exists God's power to the extent of salvation to all the ones believing (Romans 1:17). Can we boast in our salvation? What did we do to bring it about? What did we do to become righteous? And how do we live a righteous life? do not labor for food that perishes rather for the food that endures unto eternal life, whom the Son of Man gives you... therefore they said to him what do we do so to perform the work of God? Jesus answered them, this is the work of God so that believing in whom he has sent. (John 6:27-29). Believing is the work of God, it requires faith but believing and faith is not something we have the power to do or work to perform on our own, it comes from God. In Hebrews we read we set our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter or maturer of our faith. Faith is authored in us when we believe. This work of God in belie...

He Restores My Soul

he restores my soul, he leads me in the paths of righteousness, for his name sake (Psalm 23:3) The Hebrew word translated as restore means to turn back, return, most used as restore, brought back, turned. Restore means to return to a former condition, place, or position. To bring back or put; into existence or use; into a former or original state; to put in possession of something. He restores my soul, bringing it back into existence to its original state.  so also written 'the first man Adam came into existence a living soul.' The last Adam makes alive spiritually, rather, not the spiritual first rather the natural then the spiritual (1 Corinthians 15:45-46) Mankind is alive physically or naturally. Because of one man's disobedience all men died (Romans 5:12-19). Because of one man's obedience many are made alive. We were dead in sin, naturally alive, but in Christ we are made alive and raised and seated in the heavenlies with him. (Ephesians 2:5-7). And we await our...

Love Is A Sign of a Pure Heart

... purifying of your soul in the obedience to the truth, to the extent a sincere brotherly love, agape love for one another, fervently from a pure heart (1 Peter 1:22) We equate love with feelings or deeds of the heart. In this verse Peter is writing a sign of a pure heart is love. God is love. God is pure. Love flows from a pure heart. Jesus said the world will know we are his disciples not by how much we give or serve him, but by how much we love one another (John 13:35). Now, we can say it is based upon obedience as he commands us to love one another. John writes if we hate our brother we walk not in the light but in darkness. Of course, the fullness of God comes from knowing of the heights, widths, breaths, and depths of his surpassing love (Ephesians 3:16-20). As we grow in grace and in knowledge of Jesus, into purity, a sign of that is brotherly and agape love. Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandmen...
