Faith And Love

If I have all the faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am no one . 1 Corinthians 13:2 It is by faith we please God and faith without love does not profit, Paul writes. "That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring." Romans 4:16  So we see that it is through faith, that it be according to grace, or by grace through faith, not of the law. Now, James asks is not faith without works dead? One is not justified by faith alone? Paul writes we are justified by faith not by works? However, in context of scripture, we will see that they agree as it is conditional; faith and love. by grace you are saved through faith and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone boast. Ephesians 2:8 Paul writes we are saved not by works. James asks is not faith without works dead, for example, " brothers what does it gain if someone says he has faith but does not have wor...

Even If

" Even if He slay me, I will not trust in my own ways, I prove to be before His face ." 1 Job had lost all, his fortune, his name, his family, his health, but he knew God in a deeper way. He did not follow God because he was blessed with earthly things, no, he put his trust in God, as He is good and faithful. We do not look down upon trials and tribulations like the friends of Job did, as Jesus is the refiner, the fullers soap. We pray refine your people, make us pure, so that we may put our trust in you, not in earthly things nor relate to you as one who rewards good nor punishes evil, but as One who is deserving of all honor and glory, One worthy to be loved with all our heart. Let us seek those things that endure unto everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give us.   " do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you to repentance ?" 4 A strong foundation. We can put trust in princip...

Chosen By Grace

" therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, for to be sure the promise to all the seed, not to those of the Law only, but also to those of the faith of Abraham... " 1 In the Seed we see the promises of God being fulfilled to all, we see the remnant, the elect, it is the chosen that Paul writes of in the book of Romans, " So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace ." 2  To better understand what it means to be chosen by grace lets look at Israel, of the flesh, in a state of desolation and at the promises for them in Christ. By faith they receive the gift of righteousness that it may be according to grace, so that the promise would be sure to all. "Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, and say, You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God... I will destroy your high places, so shall be  desolate your altars , broken your images, cast down, slain in front of you,...

Younger Me

" Indeed, now we see dimly through a glass, we see in part, however, now face to face I know fully as also I am fully know n." 1 A child looks dimly into a mirror not fully knowing his true identity in Christ. A young man, he looks fully as the Word of God, Jesus, abides in Him. He looks into Christ, face to face, into the law of liberty, and he has overcome the evil one. We are being transformed from glory to glory into the image of Christ and one day we will be full, as Christ came in the fullness of the Father, of grace and truth. We seek your glory, the glory as that of the only begotten of the Father.  " For it was fitting that he, for whom by whom all things exist, many sons to glory, having brought, the author of their salvation to make perfect through suffering " 5 God put all things under the feet of men, giving him dominion over the earth, "He left nothing outside of his control. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him." 6 ...

Glorious Liberty

"That also itself creation will be liberated from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty  of the children of God." 1 This bondage (a form of slavery) of corruption (decay, ruin, deterioration, perishable, rottenness) all creation has been subjected to because of sin. Death reigned through one man Adam, but through One, we receive through the One abundant grace and righteousness through which we will reign. This is a free gift which we receive by grace through faith in the One. Not only that, when we believed in Christ, something extraordinary happened, unlike any other creation, we are a new creation in Christ being the first born of many brothers, we received a Spirit of adoption, and the power to become children of God. Through the one man Jesus, many will reign, liberated from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. " For it was fitting that he, for whom by whom all things exist, many sons to glory, having br...

The Face of Glory

" For God having spoken “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts, light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ ." 1 Jesus is the Word, which was with God and was God, who created all things in the beginning. " In him was life, and the life was the light of men ." 4 He came in the fullness of God and that fullness we have received, grace upon grace. " And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, a glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth . " 3 As per custom of a first born male to be consecrated to the Lord, Jesus was taken to Jerusalem, there Simeon saw Jesus and said he was "as a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.” 32 The Glory of God came among men, in the face of Jesus Christ.   " And we all, unveiled in face the glory of God beholding as in a mirror the same image... " 4   At t...

The Price of Honor

"Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength to our God for ever and ever. Amen!" 1 This word for honor is timḗ (from tiō, "accord honor, pay respect") – properly, perceived value; worth (literally, "price") especially as perceived honor, i.e. what has value in the eyes of the beholder. Anything with value has a price and honor has perceived value thus there is a price for honor. Honor is something to be valued, not demanded but earned. Christ paid a price thus he has earned honor, when we understand and value such a thing, we will honor Him. "You are not your own, for you were bought at price . So glorify God in your body." 3   This word for price is the same as honor, so we see there was a price. Christ paid the price for us, this is the idea of Christ being a propitiation for sin, he was an atoning sacrifice, or paid the price for sin. Honor is something that is valued thus we see the idea of buy...

In My Place

" But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. " 1 The prophet Isaiah strikingly prophecies of Christ. He had no " stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him ." 2 He was a tender shoot that sprung forth from the seed of David, " despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. " 3 I worked with a homeless ministry and this was how they were treated, " like one from whom men hide their face." Christ was sent as a propitiation or atoning sacrifice for our sin and to account many righteous. " Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, an...
