Righteousness In Christ

"Indeed, the end of the Law, for Christ's righteousness to all believing ." 1 All those who believe in Christ receive righteousness . this word for all, means a part of, or a totality of all those who have faith in Christ, thus these are the remnant, the elect, and all promises of God pass through the Seed, Christ. All who believe receive the end goal; righteousness. This word for end , means "reaching the end ( aim )," it is well-illustrated with the old telescope which is extended to function at full effectiveness. 2 Paul writes Israel was kept under guardian of the Law until the end goal, Christ, thus the aim or end of the Law is righteousness in Christ, "by grace through faith." " Because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness " 3 The Jew of the flesh had divine adoption, glory, covenant, law giving, service, and the promises. But they exchanged the...

Hated Without Cause

"If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated Me without cause.'" 1 Jesus was hated and persecuted without cause, He was as a spotless lamb without blemish, he was the Son of Man without sin. Persecution is the narrow path of the follower of Christ, "No servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well." To endure being hated without cause, Christ must be our example and as such we must bear the cross. “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." 2  The cross leads to death, we must lose our lives to save it. "In this is my Father glorified, that much fruit you bear, proving yourselves to be My disciples." 3 This word for bear ,...

Rich in Christ

" Blessed be the God and Father of the Lord of us Jesus Christ, he having blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ ." 1 " Blessed be the God and Father of the Lord of us Jesus Christ " This word for blessed is eulogétos, "worthy of praise" properly, "speak well of"; to celebrate by praising ; it is the root of the English terms, " eulogize , eulogy ." An eulogy speaks well of a person and Paul gives such eulogy to the Father and the Son in whom the blessings of God, every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms comes. We equate spiritual blessing with heavenly blessing, these riches of heaven we receive in Christ. “ Hosanna! Blessed who comes in the name of the Lord. Blessed is the coming kingdom of the father of us, David, Hosanna on highest !” 3 To understand the riches we receive in Christ we must establish the legitimate rule of Christ. We see in Christ all blessings and promises come. Isr...

Build The Walls

"My sacrifice, O God, i s a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. Do good by your favor, to Zion, build up the walls... then will you delight in sacrifices of righteousness," 1 Those who wish to offer pleasing sacrifices to God, must at first be sanctified, in the inward parts. This inward change leads to outward change or transformation, this is the divine service of each believer, "to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and well pleasing to God, which is your divinely reasonable service." 2 This divinely reasonable service is that which is well pleasing to God, what is logical to God, it is first and foremost. What good are other sacrifices, tithing, giving, good works if I do not offer this sacrifice of reasonable service ?  "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." 3 David knew what God desired, " Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being," 5 J...

Citizens Of Heaven

" Indeed, our citizenship in heaven exists, from whence also a Savior, we await, the Lord Jesus Christ ," 1 This word for citizenship , "a state, commonwealth" it is derived from politeuomai , " I live the life of a citizen." This word for heaven , "the sky, the heaven" perhaps from the same as oros, "a mountain, hill." This citizenship is in the heavens where Jesus sits as King, and where the Kingdom of God exists, and His will is being done, " in heaven also upon earth." " the kingdom of heaven, has drawn near." 3   The Kingdom is here! This word for "drawn near" eggízō , (from eggýs, "at hand, near, nigh") – properly, has drawn close (come near). This word is used fourteen times in the New Testament expressing "extreme closeness, immediate imminence – even a presence ('It is here')" The Kingdom of God has come, as Jesus said, "if it is by the Spirit of God t...

Kingdom Not Of This World

"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If of the world my kingdom were, my subordinates would have been fighting, that I might not be betrayed to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from here.” 1 This word for subordinates, " minister, officer, servant" (from hypó , "under" and ēressō , "to row") – properly, a rower. It is often translated as servants but it differs from servant, oikétēs (from oíkos , "house") – properly, a household-servant working for a family, implying it is done with affection and devotion. The disciples were not officers and subordinates in an earthly kingdom of this world, they were family, of the house of God, their devotion to Christ was of affection and love. “ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time ?" 2 Here we see another word for servant, doulos , "slave," properly, someone who belongs to an...

Kingdom At Hand

“ From that time on Jesus began to preach, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand .” 1 Imagine Israel welcoming Jesus into Jerusalem, he riding on a donkey as prophesied, the crowds going ahead of him laying palm leaves, these and those who followed shouting, " Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" 2 Feel the excitement as they welcome the son of David, the son of man, as prophesied of, a saviour. Hear the excitement grow as Jesus goes into the synagogue and reads from the scroll of Isaiah proclaiming he is anointed to set the captives free, to liberate those who are oppressed. One can hear it, yes, the kingdom of God is at hand.  " and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country. And he taught in their synagogues, being honored by all ." 3 This excitement spilled over throughout all the surrounding country! He received honor as an earthly king would, they welcomed him....

Proper Authority

" Indeed even more abundantly I should boast concerning the authority of us, which the Lord has given for building you up and not for destroying you, I will not be ashamed . " 1 We see clearly authority and the purpose of authority in the Church, such is related to the gifts, where the gift having a purpose of building up. As Paul writes each person is a living stone in a spiritual temple being built unto God. If I tear down a little stone in this temple, I tear down his Church. I believe this is one of the most misunderstand and most dangerous areas that the devil can lead the Church astray, so lets begin a study on authority.  We see types of authority change in the old testament, judges, prophets and then there were kings. This type of authority was allowed by God but this was not what God wanted it is what the people. You can picture it much like the colonies of early American, if there was a threat the people threw down their tools of trade, took up their weapons. ...

Principle of Liberty

" But the one who looks into the perfect law, of the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing ." 1 This principle of Liberty Christ proclaimed, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed," 2 Let us look more at the principle of Liberty. "A high principle of the Kingdom of God is that truth manifests itself in light. Such speaks to non-aggression and the peaceful settlement of disputes . Now, it also speaks to Liberty and bravery, not having a spirit of timidity, but girding oneself in truth, standing for truth. Truth fights against inequality. At the feet of the Statue of Liberty lie broken shackles of oppression and tyranny. 7"3 The Statue of Liberty holds a declaration of truth in one hand, a...
